If you have plans on attending the Texas Renaissance Festival in Plantersville this year, you may want to head over to the chron Daily Deals. Ren Fest runs from Oct 8 - Nov 27th.
For the next two days, they are offering up the choice of a family four pack for $37 or an adult four pack for $50. While the site states this is a 50% savings, they are basing this on pricing at the gates as opposed to pre-purchase prices. Pre-Purchase prices directly through the RenFest site for the same packs are $50 and $70 so a 26% or 28% savings respectively. Still a pretty decent savings if you are headed that way.
I just got the call from my husband asking if we would go this year as we missed it last year.

For those who have never been, I find it fun, but be aware it is all outdoors (so really not fun in the rain, just ask our good friend Chuck, lol) and it can get pricey if you have kids that have the "gotta haves". And if you bring a stroller, make sure it is made for offroading because there is little to no pavement.
But hey, they have mead a plenty and lots of fun people watching to do :)
