Another HOT Randalls Frozen Food deal

Wow, this one is really awesome if you are a fan of taquitos.
There is in in ad coupon for Jose Ole taquitos for $2.99. They are currently on sale for $3.99. There is also a $1.50 insert coupon for these as well (8/21 SS).
This is how the transaction looks:

4 Jose Ole taquitos @ $3.99 = $15.96
-$5/15 frozen
-$4 ($1 off each with in ad coupon)
-$6 (4 $1.50 insert)
=.96 for 4 boxes or .24 a box!!!!!
WOW!

Thanks SD for the scenario :)

Arghhh, I've gone to 6 TT and no ff books! We love Taquitos. So sad.

Oh I hope I can find some books! These are on my list for a baby shower I'm hosting in 2 weeks! (funny since we had these at my shower almost 2 years ago, I got them free at Randalls then. :)

Where do you find the in ad coupon for $1, I don't see one.

Anon, page 4 of the ad. It actually states $2.99 and lists a bunch of items of which the Jose Ole taquitos is one of them. Warning, do NOT get the Jose Ole that look like mini tacos, the in ad coupon will not take off for that one!

Thanks, just went to Randall's in Sugar Land, for some reason the register took off $10 instead of $5 for the frozen food. I bought 2 boxes Cheezits, 2 Grands biscuits, 4 Jose Ole taquitos, and a container of sour cream and only paid 3.07. Great deal(I even paid full price for sour cream which was 2.55 because I was out), Thanks very much!!

do I just need one in-ad coupon or do I have to clip 4 of them?

just one ad coupon is required.

I just called Randall's at Town and Country and on Westheimer and both customer service people told me your total needs to be $15.00 after coupons to save $5.00. Is this something Randall's started today or are the CS people mistaken? Should you hand over the $5/$15 coupon first then hand over the other coupons to get the lowest price? Thanks for the great deal.

Anon, they are misinformed, Notice number 12 of their online coupon policy http://www.randalls.com/IFL/Grocery/Coupons-Policy
12. Purchase reward thresholds (if any) will be calculated based upon customer's final price (after deducting Club Card savings and all other discounts and savings) before deductions for any manufacturer coupons. As an example (and not as an offer), if a $10 minimum purchase is required for a customer reward, a customer's order at full retail would be $12, a Club Card discount of $1.75 applies, and a manufacturer's coupon of $1 applies, the customer would be given credit for a $10.25 purchase, and would be eligible for the reward (assuming compliance with all other requirements) even though the customer's cash payment would be only $9.25. The manufacturer's coupon would not be deducted from the total for purposes of determining reward eligibility. Purchase reward thresholds (if any) will be calculated based upon customer’s final price (after deducting Club Card savings, and all other discounts)

That's pretty interesting. "Anon" left the same type of comment I left on FB about the register taking off $10 instead of $5. Hmmmm. Maybe I should go back to that store -- especially since I had only 4 coupons to start w/ & only needed to use 1 for that transaction.

also found kraft mayo on the clearance rack! Thank you so much for your blog. it inspires me to get the deals and make me laugh all the time!

Pertaining to Randalls policy #12Does Randalls consider their in- store coupons to be discounts or savings? The $5 coupon didn't show up on my total, had to have cashier manually take off the $5 coupon- got 2 Jose Ole, 2 Marie Callanders, 1 Ore Ida, all with man q's and 3 of them with in store coupons. Ended up with a great deal- Thanks Stephanie!

Can you use more than 1 in a transaction? Also, if you buy $30, will it deduct $10 with only 1 coupon? I made 2 separate transactions last night just in case. One store I went Sunday, did take off $10, instead of $5; that was a surprise since I didn't reach $30 in frozen foods.

katycouponers said...

Anon, they are limit 1 per transaction and only 1 will take off.
You got lucky on your $10 off as apparantly there was about 24-48 hrs where the coupon was actually taking off $10 instead of $5. I read about this after it got fixed :(

I had the worst experience at Randalls in clear lake last night.
My pizza rang up 6.99 and 7.99 instead of both 7.99. So the coupon did not work. Did not find this out until later. anyway the assistant Mgr had to manually take it off. but instead she put $5 on!! Now I have to go back and get my $10.00
I was so aggrivated already because the Taquito's were not ringing up right and she said they have a new policy that they can only take 3 like coupons. she even brought out a print out and showed me. UGGH worst trip ever!! and i have to go back get my money!
