Walmart - I want your shopping stories!

I went out to Walmart tonight on my way home with my Gain coupons in hand but unfortunately the Gain was sold out. :(
So, as I have been super busy at work this week, I had no other backup plan (or B plan) that I just left empty handed.
So, this is where I am asking for the help of my readers. Have any of you been to Walmart to test the new AWESOME coupon policy I posted here?
If so, I would love to hear your story. Was it easy? Did you have to whip out your copy? What coupons did you use? AND what store did you go to (this will benefit other readers :)

I used 10 Tidy Cat coupons yesterday $1.50 off each bag. For the first time EVER the cashier didn't say a word!!! The register didn't even request that the cashier confirm that the coupon amount was correct on the coupons. That has never happened. Normally it wants a confirmation on each coupon and as you can imagine that would always make the cashier REAL happy! To my surprise it has worked great! NOW to try printables! Which I have NEVER once been able to use at Wal-Mart!

I was at WalMart Sunday and they were still out of Gain - I had asked a week or two ago and was told their warehouse was out. :-( I was able to pick up four lotions with a $2.00Q and teh price was $1.97 but they adjusted the coupon down to $1.97???? I thought according to the new policy they should've honored the $2.00Q but I was happy I got it for free!

Colie-Where did you find the $1.50Q's?

I went and tested the policy at ours the other night so I could post something on it. I bought 2 of the $1.87 Gain and a pack of Strawberries. I was negative $1.01 and they gave me the $1.01 back. Then I used a RR to pay for some milk, they didn't want to take it at first but I had my policy and they didn't argue.
I posted over here, and there has been a lot of discussion.

just4fun I ordered them the first week of February from mycouponhunter.com she lives in FL. I know she doesn't have anymore, but they are out there. At Wal-Mart I can get a 10lb bag for .27 cents.

At the risk of sounding stupid, where are the Gain coupons?? I've been keeping my eyes open and haven't seen any in a very long time in our Sunday's coupon inserts!

I went this past Saturday (off I10 & Katy). No problems with coupon overage but I did have a hard time with a Cat from Kroger. I had to pull out the coupon policy. They let me use it but I was told "just this once". I will have to try again and see what happens.

Thanks for sharing ladies, I'm thrilled to try it out! I always skip over the walmart posts, my store has NEVER allowed overage, not even adjusting down.

I had a great experience at the Sugarland Wal-Mart everything went very smooth and no problems checking out. The Sugarland store was out of the purex so I ventured over to the Richmond store and it wasn't nearly as smooth. The cashier went to ask at the customer service desk about the purex coupons and then told me that they would adjust them down to 97 cents, so I ended up going over to the customer service desk to inquire about the coupon policy and pulled out my print out from the wal-mart website. They then said that the coupon policy had recently changed and they would honor the coupons and give the overage or cash back.
