Coupon Fairies Hit HEB - Sugar Land - and New Yellow coupons
Warning to readers. I know I don't blog as often(been super busy with that pesky day job that pays the bills :D Hope you don't mind my titles are expressing more my thoughts when I start a blog post.
So, I walked HEB in search of the NEW hot yellow coupons and let me just say, I think one of my readers set this pic up, fess up, who did it??? Hello a B coupon for $2 off Nature Made vitamins with a manufacturer coupon for $3/2 sitting right there picture perfect! WOW! I had to snap that picture.
BTW, if you are not in need of vitamins, the vitamin D are ~ $3 (can't find my receipt but I believe they were 2.94 so a decent MM)
Want better than free deodorant? My store has one variety of Mitchum on clearance for $2.33.
Use the $1.50 B coupon and the $1 insert 3-18 SS and better than free!
Now to be honest, I suck on makeup deals. I don't personally wear makeup(just a personal thing, never have except the rare wedding invite or for pictures and personally I cannot figure out how you other women do it. My face itches I scratch it and if I am wearing makeup, now my nail is wearing it!!! Not only that, since my husband is not used to me wearing it when I do, he doesn't know how to kiss me, lol. I really just don't understand makeup, so these posts will always suck- unless makeup is free cause free I speak!- MM even better!- I happily donate MOST* my makeup purchases)
Anyway $3 off any 2 Revlon cosmetics. Cheapest item is the eye shadow for $3.74
I would classify eyes as part of the face(but again I know nothing about makeup?) If the manuf. agrees then we are slated to get a $2 coupon according to the preview, which will make these just .24 each after both coupons.
*MM and free REAL makeup is cheaper than play makeup you have to pay for!
Not really a coupon but I saw these try me free peelies so thought I would post. $8 for a dry shampoo seems a lot to me but again I have NO clue what a dry shampoo would be used for??? I found these at Sugar Land HEB and didn't take any because I don't see me buying this product, so I have no other details on the terms.
Dove has a new B coupon.
Buy a shampoo or Conditoner get a free Styler. In the 3-25 RP inserts is a coupon for $1 off. If you store will let you use a coupon on the free item too (not against their written coupon policy) you could use 2 $1 coupons and the B coupon and get 1 styler and 1 shampoo or conditioner for $1.49 or .75 each.
Now this next one I am not 100% on it being a deal but I LOVE taco night at the house so for me this nets me freebies after I buy something anyway
The HEb brand of taco seasoning is ~ .32 each (and really good!) So if you see no need for the Grillmates marinades , I would go with HEB brand. Otherwise, pay the .18 more per pack to get the free Grillmates. (I don't recommend Old El Paso, got some for dirt cheap and have to admit we have to ADD seasoning to it as it has ZERO flavor in my opinion- and I can't take hotter than mild picante so that is not a good review)
The pizza man was restocking when I was there so the glass is foggy(no the pizza was not getting frisky :P) The Freschetta $2 off is a B so can be combined with the $1.50/2 insert 3-4 SS if you got it. Makes for a decent price on a frozen pizza that tastes pretty good for frozen pizza(yes I am picky on frozen pizza. I don't like eating pizza that tastes like cardboard and I am not naming names but lets just say I WILL buy Freschetta and Digiorno)

Kroger - Cleaning Stuff Cheap Enough for me!
I honestly do NOT know how long this particular deal is good for (and neither do my closest coupon buds - they know who they are :D)
Clorox Clean Up sprays are $1.99 at Kroger if you buy 4 participating cleaning products (same deal as the sponge deal I posted here)
If you have been around the HEB pharmacy recently you might happen to have some coupons for $1 off any Clorox Wipes (35ct +) or Clorox cleaning products (32 oz+). If you do, you are in luck!
Buy 4 for the Kroger promo and use 4 $1 off coupons to bring your total down to $3.96, then get a $2.50 oynso. Here is the kicker! We know the promo is spend $9 on Clorox get $2.50 back, but it seems it is working on regular shelf price. Second kicker, all the research has shown this promo was supposed to end yesterday but it was still triggering the catalina TODAY. So, not sure how long the cat is printing, but still not a BAD deal.
And if that is up your alley, reader GlennJ is always a wealth of coupon deals and here is what was shared in comments in case you don't read those :D
Scrubbing Bubbles, Pledge, and Lysol all have manuf coupons/IPS and SavingStar coupons and are part of this buy 4 save $4 promo. And some Febreze products were .49 after home mailer and promo (with luck this post will lure GlennJ out of the dark to post more details for you guys :D)
Unrelated to this promo(again still GlennJ talking here)
Instyle mag $5
-$2 IP
-$2 SavingStar
=$1
People mag (KC talking- these are $3.99 correct?)
-$1 IP (I personally don't see this anymore???)
-$1 SavingStar
=$1.99
And finally my own contribution. Yes that is my personal pic of my Clorox clean up, I caved and went to Kroger, and while there I noticed the Lysol toilet bowl cleaner for .97 on the same promo (must buy 4 participating items to get this price)
There is a .50/2 printable here that would be awesome if we still had doubles!
Here is the pic
Thanks Mayra on the heads up on the Clorox deal!

SweetJack 10% off - $16.20 for Texas Car Inspection with Emissions Test, $36 for Brazilian Steakhouse for 2
Have you hear of SweetJack yet? I signed up back in October because they were offering a Texas Car Inspection with emissions testing for just $18 at any of the 12 MrSticker locations around the Houston area. Seriously, right before this, I had paid over $35 to get one of our cars inspected YIKES!!!!!
Well, right now, you can use the code COMEBACKJACK10 to get an additional 10% off, making it just $16.20. Your voucher is good for a year, so even if you don't need a car inspection now, you might want to consider this offer.
Another offer I took advantage of lately, is the 50% off the Angus Grill Brazilian Steakhouse voucher. For $40 (or just 36 with the discount code) you can get a 3 course dinner for 2. My husband has been wanting to go to one of the Brazilian steakhouses in town and for $40, I couldn't say no. We are going on my birthday (you have to make reservations) Yum!

FREE Sponges at Kroger - are you sponge worthy?
(sorry, couldn't help myself on the title :P)
My friend Courtney once again sent me this image to post to the blog. Courtney found these Brillo Estracell sponges at her Kroger for .49 when you buy in groups of 4. Combine that sale price with the $1/2 insert 1-29 RP (expires 3-31!) and get them for FREE. A great filler for stores that have issues with giving overage is the Reach dental floss. They are priced at $1.05 so with the $1 insert 3-4 RP they will be .05. Buy 1 for each 4 sponges you buy and pay .01!
If you don't see any sponges on the shelves, you might want to walk the store looking for a display box with these inside!
If you buy at least 8 in a transaction, don't forget to get your eggs for .88 a dozen (limit 3 with $10 additional purchase).
Thanks Courtney

Fisher Price Love and Play Puppy - Check your Homemailers
I have been behind on keeping up on deals lately due to my new position at work. I am sorry for that, but want to tell some of you, you might want to double check your mail.
Totally Target posted about this Love and Learn puppy with an IP that WAS available here(it isn't now, but posted link in case it resets).
I missed that printable so was sad I was not going to be able to get one of these for under $4.
Well, I stayed up organizing my coupons last night and noticed I got a homemailer of Fisher Price coupons.
I assume these were from signing up at their website at some point. Anyway, inside this homemailer was a $5 off coupon for the puppy. Combine that with the sale at Target and the 50% off coupon in the Target ad, and I got one awesome gift to add to the gift closet :D
Make sure you check your recent mail as you might have gotten this coupon too!
Inside that homemailer, there is also a coupon for $10 off a Fisher Price Laugh and Learn Table.
This is $44 - 50% coupon in ad or via text (text Easter to 827438) - $10 homemailer = $12!
And the Fisher Price Laugh and Learn Pup Playhouse
$19 - 50% in ad coupon or text - $5 homemailer = $4.50.

Walgreens run - HOT Clearance find
I went to Walgreens today and came across the following clearance my coupon bud Jeanne told me to look for. The Olay silk whimsy(pink) and purely pristine(blue) bodywash and bar soap is on clearance for $2.29 each. Even better, they are on sale for buy 1 get 1 50% off. If you still have your $2 P&G insert coupons, you can get them free (or overage*)
I combined my purchase with the Menthol spray purchase this week since I had a RR to roll. The overage paid down my OOP. On my second transaction I got the Glade Impressions deal I posted about here with my $2 IP(no longer available) You can still print a $1.25 here or $1 here. I paid pennies out of pocket after $3.49 sale price and coupon ,and got back $1.50 RR :D
*My store does not have the new registers, so I am unsure how this works out with them. You should still be able to get the Olay free per their coupon policy :D
Thanks Jeanne for the heads up

Staples - More FREE Paper, Batteries, ETC
Sorry to get to this so late, been a busy day getting some errands run. I am excited to see Staples is once again offering up FREE paper, batteries, photo paper and antivirus. Now there are many ways to do this but I had to do mine a bit confusing because I had rewards I wanted to spend without losing value in my rewards. I also wanted to use a $10/50 competitor coupon so it would pay my tax. If you don't have rewards to start out with, your transaction should be much easier than mine! First, here are the deals, then I can make some suggestions and then tell you how I worked mine(and hopefully not lose you in the math)
First though, I should probably offer a refresher in the difference between Staples Easy Rebates and Staples 100% Rewards.
Now, how are Staples Rewards different from Staples rebates? Well, rebates are just that, you pay now, submit your information(I love that you can do this online at Staples, so you don't even waste a stamp) and you have a few options for payment back. You can get a gift card or a check. I always pick the check because then to me it is 100% free since I will get my money back to use anywhere I choose!
Staples Rewards, you need to sign up for their free card either here or in store. Once you've signed up you'll earn 10% back in Staples Rewards on all ink and toner, case and ream paper and Copy & Print purchases. You can also earn rewards back on select items advertised in their weekly ads. This week that is the batteries and the copy paper. With Staples REWARDS, if you use coupons you will receive the reward value LESS the value of the coupon. This coupon could be either a Staples coupon, a competitor coupon, a manufacturer coupon or even a Staples Reward certificate! So it is important to use as little of these as possible when buying rewards items.
Also, Staples REWARDS are certificates you will receive in the mail to be used only at Staples on future purchases AND they have an expiration date. This is why I only do them on the items I really need or want.
So now, the deals:
From Sun - Wednesday ONLY:
$8.99 HP Everyday photo paper 8.5x11, 50 pack
Earn $8.99 in SER (Staples Easy Rebate), limit 2
$8.79 Staples Pastels 8.5 x 11, 20 lb assorted colors
Earn $8.79 in SER, limit 2, in store only
Whole week long:
$5.99 Hammermill 8.5 x 11 Copy Plus copy paper
Earn 100% back in Staples Rewards, limit 2, in store only
$12.99 Duracell batteries 16 pack AA or AAA
Earn 100% back in Staples Rewards, limit 2, in store only
$35 Titanium Antivirus 1 pc
Earn $35 SER, limit ?
$30 McAfee Antivirus Plus, 1 PC
Earn $30 back in mail in rebate, limit 1 per household(if you bought this in December, you cannot claim the rebate again)
Ok, to use the $10 off $50, you want to buy as much of the rebate items as possible, since you will get ALL your money back on those, whereas, the Staples Rewards items will only give you back the % paid on those. Since the software is excluded from the coupon, that means getting 2 HP papers and 2 pastels which total $35.56.
So you still need $14.44 to use the coupon! To solve this problem, I bought 1 pack of batteries and 1 ream of paper. That brought my total to $54.54.
So then the coupon. When you use a competitor coupon they typically have to apply the coupon to an item in the method of price modifying. Now it is important to make sure they do NOT price modify the batteries or the copy paper. If they do, your 100% rewards will be reduced by that amount. It is best to have them price modify the photo paper if they will, since you also earn 10% back from the Staples pastel paper for being a reward member. My cashier took it off the pastels so I will lose a little in those rewards :(
So, once they take off the $10 coupon, your total assuming you buy all these items is $44.54 + tax
You will get back
$35.56 in Staples Easy rebates for the photo paper and pastels
If they do not take the $10 coupon off your rewards items you should get back $18.98* of those rewards, making your profit pretty good(cost of $47.14 assuming 8.25% tax, get back $54.54 in rewards/rebates, making a profit of $7.40 + the additional 10% -$1.76- for the color paper)
For me, since they reduced my pastel papers by $10, I will only get back .76 for that, but will get back $35.56 in rebates and $18.98* in rewards for batteries and copy paper. Profit of $8.16. I bought the AntiVirus on a separate transaction to use up rewards I had that were going to expire soon. I lost .60 in tax after my rewards so still an overall profit of $7.56 for all that is pictured.
*Should is relative here as sometimes when you use a coupon, you will still get dinged on rewards based on a percentage of rewards items vs overall cost. For my example the rewards items accounted for 18.98 of the $54.54 total, a percentage of 34.8. So assuming they ding me for that I will lose $3.48 in rewards. This still will make the transaction an overall profit, but not as big of one. Whenever possible it is best to ring up 100% reward items separate when using a coupon. In my case, I was not to the value to use the coupon so I chanced it to save the tax, but I tried to use the min amount of rewards items on that transaction. Clear as mud right? :D

Digiorno $1/2 IP
Those of you with a Randalls (Safeway, Tom Thumb) nearby might want to scurry over here first to print a coupon for $1/2 Digorno Pizzas.
If the Dipping Strips or Pizza with Cinnamon sticks are in the size range, you can use this coupon to get started cheaply on the frozen food deal.
Buy 2 pizzas @ $5 each - $1/2 IP = $9, earn $5 oynso
I have been receiving the $5 oynso as well as a coupon for $2.50/2 dipping sticks or $3/2 Pizza with cinnamon sticks in each purchase :D
Since BOTH these items are new, you can use your prior $5 to roll the deal, making each pizza as low as $1 each! WOW!
*Judging from what I have read, some are having issues getting the $2.50/2 and $3/2 pizza cat in their transaction. I have had success every time getting these cats though ,so not sure if it is a register glitch or just bad programming at select stores. My purchases have been at the store in Sugar Land on Williams Trace and the store in Stafford.

Heb Deals - March 21st - 27th
Prices are from my store ad.
Please remember Heb has regional ads and they can vary greatly in meat and produce prices, so please go online and view your local zip code to confirm you have the same prices as my ad. I have noticed a variance in stores just 3 miles apart.

Something to note on my matchups. I will label the store coupons with an M or a B once I am aware which they are. B store coupons can be combined with paper coupons for added savings, M store coupons cannot.
