Random goodness at Randalls - a Money Maker even (without coupons OR clearance I might add)

Ok, I considered apologizing for my LONG winded post titles but then I realized this is my blog and I am naturally long winded, so no apology ;P (yes I can be a brat too, just ask anyone who actually has to spend face time with me!)

Anyway, I had nowhere better to be today on my lunch after gassing up at the new super awesome HEB that is opening in a week, so I decided to go torment my favorite group of employees at the Randalls on Williams Trace and Hwy 6. I took pictures of the tags I saw because honestly I misplaced my pen and was sure I would forget a price that I promised myself I would NOT (hey I got paid to buy lunchmeat today so was giddy to get $8 bacon(SERIOUSLY $8!!!!!!) for .99 after clearance and with the overage)

Anyway, some of these are ok deals and at least one is a money maker for anyone(ok assuming you have not maxed out the deal the last few times they have offered it!)
So here is the rundown in pictorial format:

Crispix cereal yet again! In the ad you will see it is part of the Buy $5 save 5 promo AND as you can see in the picture these boxes have the Cars 2 Promo codes blogged about here (each 4 earns $5 prepaid card) AND they are part of the AARP rebate- same blog post as before-(no you don't have to be a member and each 10 participating upcs earns you $10 prepaid card), therefore each box (assuming purchased in just the right quantities for the trifecta) will basically be worth an additional $2.25 (WHAT?)  Ok, let me break it down for those that don't like math (or those that do understand math but are sleepy because seriously do kids EVER let you sleep? mine don't!)

The Cars code promo requires 4 codes with a max of 30 codes total PER PERSON(note person NOT household).
The AARP rebate requires 10 upcs with a max of  5 rebates per household.
The Randalls deal requires at LEAST 5 to be purchased to get the $1 less pricing
So, the least common multiple of 4, 5 and 10 (HA, you thought you would NEVER hear that term after you graduated :P) would be.....................20!

So, assuming you purchase 20 boxes of Crispix (Rice Krispies is also part of the AARP and Cars promo but it is HARD to find those specially coded boxes now)
This is how it should look:
20 boxes @ 1.79 = $35.80 oop at register
Then mail 2 AARP rebates for $10 cards back and submit 20 codes for 5 $5 rebate cards back(you can only enter 8 codes a day so it will take 3 days to submit all these)
So you get back $45 back on prepaid cards for a profit of $9.20 (less the cost of your two stamps for the mailing of the 20 upcs in two envelopes!)
WOW!  A profit of over $9 for just buying 20 boxes of cereal and waiting for your rebates to come back(I have done BOTH these rebates without issue and all my rebates have been redeemed!)
If you don't need the cereal there are TONS of organizations right now taking donations for the folks in Bastrop who have lost their homes due to the wild fires.  Trust me they will LOVE the boxes without UPCS (I have donated tons of items without upcs over the years)

Ok, so anyway, on to the next few deals I have to post about, not nearly as CRAZY as this one
Digiorno Pizzas are on sale again for $5.49 this time
Red Baron is $4.19 or the Delimex Taquitos are still $4.49

You could do either of the following scenarios:
2 Digiorno $5.49 each = $10.98
1 Red Baron pizza $4.19 = $15.17
-$5/15 from frozen food booklet - $3/2 Digiorno tearpad - $1 Red Baron Womans Day Sept 2011 =
$6.17 for 3 pizzas or $2.06 a pizza

*If you substitute the Red Baron with the Delimex and find the $2 peelies attached it would look like this:
$15.47 -$5/15 - $3/2 Digiorno tearpad - $2 Delimex tearpad = $5.47 or $1.83 an item

Another freebie:

Carefree are .89 so free with .50 insert 8-21 SS doubled
Canned Safeway veggies are on sale for .69 so cheap with Hurricane map coupons(only found in Houston region)
Safeway tuna is also on sale this week so again cheap with Hurricane map coupon (only found in Houston stores)
*sorry can't find the post of the value of my hurricane coupons and they are outside in my car.  It is nite nite time so no time to go find them to post values, sorry!

Ok, I'm a bit confused. Would I have to purchase all 20 boxes of cereal in one transaction and if so, would they accept the one receipt for 2 AARP rebates?

Lindseyjarenjayden, I have been asking for them at the service desk. Last I was there both Williams Trace and Stafford store still have them, I can't speak for any other stores as I have not asked at any others

Anon, no you do not have to buy in 1 transaction, but you must buy at least 5 in each transaction to get the sale price. The beauty of this particular deal is that you do NOT need receipts! The CArs 2 promo asks for codes printed inside the box and the AARP rebate just asks for upcs not receipts :)
