Sunday Coupon Preview - 3 INSERTS

Make sure when you run out to get your papers today and tomorrow they have 3 inserts inside. I know some areas of Houston have been cheated lately so you want to make sure they are intact, or head somewhere else to pick up a paper. If your home delivery tomorrow does not have 3 inserts, be sure to contact the Chronicle to complain.

Check out the previews here or here.

I am excited about the
$3 Gain Fabric Softener coupon (should make it free at Family Dollar)

I used to work in Chron customer service (AKA Subscriber Servies). The reps there no haven't been there for a long time any more. They don't realize that there is a master book to look up what zip codes got what inserts. If the rep keeps stating that it's not possible, ask for a supervisor. There's only 1 supervisor left there from when I worked there 5 years ago, however they should all know where to look up the information.

As it was stated before on a lot of blogs, sometimes even coupon advertisers only buy certain areas for distribution. For the first 2 weeks of 2011, the Chron didn't have both inserts. Neither did the Galveston paper. On the 3rd week, Galveston's paper had all the inserts but the Chron did not. I have 3 Chrons delivered on Sunday only. I went out to purchase the Galveston paper. I did check the newsstands and the Chrons in my area also did not get the other inserts and neither did the Galveston. I don't know why Houston is turning out to be such a crapshoot when it comes to the inserts. We're the 4th largest city in the United States *and* we only have 1 major paper. It's getting ridiculous! For some reason, advertisers don't want to spend their money here. Maybe they don't generate enough revenue from this area?

Thanks for the info Coupon Newbie
I do know when I got into a Kroger store and they advertise next to their Chronicle over $xxx amt in coupons and I am expecting 2 or 3 inserts if I don't get that number I am pulling out my calculator and IF it does not add up I am screaming FALSE advertisement!!! Trust me the Chron hears those gripes from me and I tell them I will be MORE than happy to send my pic of their advertisement and report them to the proper agencies :)
