It is SNOWING! In HOUSTON!

Okay, I know all my up North readers are gonna laugh at us, but this is a RECORD BREAKER day! Humor me this post. Today it is snowing in Houston! We are setting records as the earliest snowfall EVER in this part of the state.

Since things like this just don't happen around here, I got off work early (before the roads iced over since we Southerns don't know how to drive in that mess). This is a pic of the kids in the snow when we first got home. Pretty exciting for us since in the 34 years I have lived in Tx, I have only seen it snow 4 times this far South(only twice was it cold long enough enough to actually stick).
And just to save a little face, it MUST be a BIG deal since Jim Cantore * was in Houston TODAY.
*For those that don't watch the Weather Channel, Jim Cantore is who they send for ALL severe weather(especially the Hurricanes- you DON'T usually want to be where he is, lol)

We didn't get that much snow near Dairy Ashford @ westheimer but get a decent amount. I lived in NY for 3 years and I miss the snow soooo much, its good to see Houston this white :)

Snow Snow I left Minnesota so I did not have to deal with Snow and what do I wake up to Snow. Oh well sure it will be gone soon. Just took pictures of neighbor kids playing in the little snow we have. cute

This picture would make a very nice Christmas card for your family especially the grandparents.

This was such a treat today! The other fun fact about all this snow today is that NY City hasn't even seen snow yet this season and HOUSTON has!! awesome!!
