Kraft BBQ sauce FREE @ Food Town

WOW! I was really ill prepared with my coupons today when I walked into Food Town. I went in to get the free Casa Fiesta Refried beans and free Marcal toilet paper (I will post those matchups again in just a moment)

Well, while searching for the refried beans I saw this beautiful display of Kraft BBQ sauce!!!!! That is .50 each and guess what? We have .55 off coupons (insert 5-1 SS-most Food Towns will adjust down to make it free)
What was really BEAUTIFUL about this display is that the bbq sauce is 28 oz which is one of the specified sizes on the coupon (the other being 40 oz!)
Yay! Free bbq finally (and legit too!)

Casa Fiesta refried beans 3/$1 - $1/2 insert 4-17 SS = Free
Marcal Small Steps tp .88 - free insert 4-17 RP  = Free

*picture was taken at Food Town in Sugar Land, I am not sure if this is an instore special or at all locations in Houston!
ETA: Reader Rosanna has confirmed finding this same deal at her area Food Town, yay!

see my disclosure statement here.

I think I saw the same BBQ sauce deal at Foodtown in Pearland.

The cashier questioned the Casa Fiesta coupon - he checked with the manager who confirmed that since the coupon said $1/2, then they "HAD" to adjust it down to $.67 for 2 cans. It was their way or no way. It was my first time there, wasn't familiar with the coupon policy plus all the lines were long. Any feedback? Mercedes V.

Mercedes, yes this store did the same but free is better than .10 a piece at HEB :)

I used the .55 off coupons at Walmart by price matching Kroger (they are .50/each with the mega) and made money on the deal!

Kelley, the ones at Kroger are 18 oz and NOT valid for the coupon. Coupon is for 28 or 40 oz only

I got all three deals but I think I overpaid. The refried beans were 3/$1 and the coupon was 2/$1. I was assuming that since the coupon is for $1 it would balance out if I bought 3 instead of 2 like the coupon said. The cashier manually entered all my coupons and she put in .34 instead of the $1, I got .05 overage on each of Kraft BBQ sauce. All in all I got 11 Marcal TP, 23 BBQ sauce (don't worry I didn't clear the shelf, they had ALOT left), 2 Old Orchard juice, 20 refried beans and paid $4.80. not bad but could have been less.

Anon, what location let you use 23 coupons for bbq sauce? I am hoping for one stop shopping :)

The Food Town on El Dorado limits to 6. The one in Pasadena on S Richey does not limit.

Also, if you still have Mahatma coupons, they were 2/$1 at Joe V's.

I went to the one in Pasadena on Shaver behind Mi Tienda. I didnt even know they had a limit. I guess I got lucky :-)

Stephanie - thanks for the feedback. I went back to the Foodtown in Pearland and got the great deal on the BBQ sauce - stockboy said the price will be $1 starting tomorrow. Mercedes

stephanie, my question is to you. since the new kroger coupon changes how many of the same like coupons can we use at kroger per transaction?

Anon, according to the new policy each manager can still limit quantities so you will have to check with your store. I have not tested out if my stores have changed the limits as I am still currently boycotting Kroger

Thank u for that info. I am still boycotting kroger as well. I was just curious. I have been price matching krogers add at Walmart.. lol.
