Loadables with paper coupon update for Krogers

Looks like our loadable fun is not going to be as fun at Kroger. I stopped in at lunch to purchase the Betty Crocker potato pouches that are $1. I had a .40 loadable from shortcuts and a .40 IP that I expected to double for .20 overage.

Well, it appears it doubled, but only for an additional .20. Now, this still made the potatoes free, but NO more overage :(

I guess it was fun while it lasted! I have not tested Randalls yet to see what the loadables might be doing there.

Here was my experience buying the potatoes, The Q's didn't come off teh way I expected them to but it was in my favor. I bought 3 pouches, and I had 3 MQ's for .25 (these came out in the Columbus, OH paper was I was vacationing that weekend). All 3 MQ's tripled to .75 and I had 3 EQ's come off, .40 for cellfire, .40 for shortcuts, and another .40 for shortcuts! Resulting in .45 overage. I'm not sure why so many came off since I didn't think Kroger stacked multiple EQ's, is it because I bought 3 packages?

I purchased a pouch but the SC $0.40 did NOt come off, so I just had it removed from the transaction, neither did the kid cuisine I tried to buy, so I took that off too. I seem to run into problems only with loadables at Kroger, but not often though.. only once so far for Randalls loadables

Could you use your MFQ before you even scan your card?

scottl, when did you purchase these because today is the first day I noticed this change. And yes, since you bought 3, 3 coupons came off, but at Kroger they won't always do that, no rhyme or reason why they don't.

Amanda, the kid cuisine coupon was only good at safeway stores.

leah, if you don't scan your card first, your paper coupon will not double or triple at all.

zm, I shopped at Kroger Saturday evening, around 7 PM. I always thought that Kroger only took one EQ off per product per transaction, regardless of how many you bought? Or maybe I'm wrong on that, it's hard to keep up, lol

And I didn't know it was necessary to scan your Kroger card just in order to get double/triple your paper coupons... interesting.

I also noticed on Saturday that they are not giving overage period. I was expecting overage of a few things to cover the cost of a few of the others and they just doubled/tripled up to the purchase price. :( Oh well, it was good while it lasted.

I hope Randall's doesn't change anything.

Helloooo!!!
I went to Randalls tonight to pick up some stuff that I thought should have overage....but at least free or close to it. Anyway, none of my loadables came off! I bought some other items with my purchase, produce, eggs etc. so I didn't think too much of my total. I compared it to my other Randalls receipts and none of the loadables from shortcuts or cellfire came off! I checked and my Randalls card is right...no mix up on cards or anything. What could've happened? Thank you!

Today I went to Randalls and I got overage, here is how it worked out:

$2.50 Nut Clusters
-$1.00 Manf Q
-$1.00 E-Coupon
-.40 E-Coupon
-.40 E-Coupon
= -.30 cents overage
