Target- Last minute good Price Matchup

I am sorry readers that is was a local deal and I found out about it very last minute (Thanks Maya!)
A local grocery store (Food Town) had Tyson chicken in the box on sale for .99 a box(no limit). Unfortunately, the store closest to me only takes 2 like coupons, so it was not worth it to me to stop there. The great thing is I am surrounded by wonderful coupon friends that remind me or tell me about deals I overlook and remind me about price matching(another area I tend to overlook)
So, today I got these 12 boxes of chicken wings and Breast tenderloins for .44 a box.
Price match at Target for .99 each - .55 insert from 10-11 SS.
Total cost $5.28!

Thanks Again Maya for telling me about this deal.

Why post the deal if its unavailable.

Anon, I posted the deal as a reminder(which I needed myself) to look at ALL the sales ads you get, even for smaller stores, because there is always the opportunity to price match at Walmart or Target. It is possible this deal will even come around again.

This deal has ended but it's another reminder about the benefits of price matching.

HEB ad (ended 1/5) had Weight Watchers Smart Ones frozen meals for $.99. Target had a special for buy 10 and get a $5 gift card. I took the ad to Targets customer service and they matched the HEB price. Then the boxes had a $4 off 10 coupon on them.

So $.99 x 10 = $9.90 - $4 coupon = $5.90 (plus you get a $5 gift card - the register automatically tells them to give it to you).

If you purchase another 10 you can use that $5 gift card and pay only $.90 for that grouping of 10.

And I started out with a $10 gift card from the pharmacy so I paid nothing out of pocket for 40 frozen meals. (I did this at a couple of different stores so as not to annoy any one person since it is a hassle for them. I did have one difficult manager refuse to do it but 2 other stores did it).
