Happy New Year!

Well 2009 is gone and we have a New year upon us. With that comes a stack of coupons that must go! This does NOT mean they have to go in the trash though. Our military overseas can use expired coupons for 6 months AFTER expiring. You can find out the information to mail these on the Overseas Coupon Program website. You can also use this website to locate local churches or groups that will accept your expired coupons from you and mail them for you. Definitely worth looking into if you have LOTS of coupons to offload.

With a New Year comes resolutions as well. I am not usually one to make resolutions, but this year I am gonna try. I don't want to bore you with too much of the personal goals so I will just share a few of those as well as all my blogging goals I have for the year.

First, let me preface this with a wonderful THANK YOU for being a reader. If not for my readers, I would probably have stopped blogging long ago. It is quite time consuming and if it was not for your comments letting me know I am of some help, I would think I was talking to myself and would not be as active as I am.
Now, my blogging goals for this year:
1. I want to be MORE active in posting deals for you. I try to notify you as soon as I have done the deal, but it would be GREAT if I can provide you with more advanced notice on some deals.
This will hopefully include deals I read about that I will not be doing for the shear fact of not needing the items myself.

2. To gain readership. This is important to me because I love helping others save and for now I just don't have time to offer the coupon classes that started this whole blog.

3. To clean up the blog and make it easier to navigate. This includes adding some couponing basics for easy reference.

4. To offer more giveaways. I hope to get in touch with more companies of products I enjoy and provide giveaway offers to my readers.

5.To change the background of the blog, add a header and a button. These are more for me, but I have grown tired of the background and really would like to add a header and button. I have actually been wanting to do this for sometime, but I don't know how to alter code so I know it is going to be a huge undertaking and many hours of time I just can't dedicate right now.

That sums up my 5 blogging goals, and if I have not bored you yet, here are a few of my personal goals.
1. Change my career. Right now, I don't have a career, I have a job. I am in the process of changing that and will hopefully be torturing young souls shaping young minds by teaching mathematics(my true passion).

2. Get out of debt. I started this goal this year and will continue my snowball to pay my "stupid tax". I am taking some key points from Dave Ramsey and combining that with my own mathematical spin.
*Because of a WONDERFUL friend, THANKS GREENIE, I was able to see Dave Ramsey live this past year, WOW!

3. To lose weight. I have slowly let my weight creep up and I know I need to stop this gain before it gets too difficult.

4. To maintain a clean house. If you were to visit it lately, you would think a giant came, picked up the house, shook it real hard, and set it back down on the slab.
(This goal I actually started today. I have been cleaning all day and plan to finish cleaning up the house this weekend and creating a daily schedule of the room that is gonna get tackled before bed nightly)

Well, those are a few goals I have for the coming year. I hope you will stick around for the year and together we can save money! And I want to let everyone know, I strive very hard in responding to all emails I receive from my readers and try very very hard to answer all your comment questions.
If you know of deals you would like to see posted, feel free to let me know and I will try to accomodate. Please be aware, I do NOT like spam though and I strive really hard in keeping spam off my blog and away from my readers. If you know something to be spam that I post, please let me know.

Thanks for all your 2009 deals. Your blog is my #1 site. I visit it every day, sometime 3 times a day. I like your site because you post something different all the time and the deals you post I am able to do before the deal ends. Thanks again and I look forward to your 2010 deals.

Hi! I just started reading your blog (regbyandjulie from HCW). If you want to change your background, just go to google and type in "free blogger templates" and there are lots of sites with pre-made templates. You just enter the code into your profile, and it works so you don't have to write the code yourself. That's how I got my background on my blog.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to reading your blog in 2010!

I have you in Google reader so I get all your updates. I was at Randalls on New Years Eve and remembered your post about the sure deodorant, checked the box...there was the $2.50 coupon. I am amazed at how you know all these deals!
Thank you for all your help.

LOL have you been spying on me? This is what my house looks like almost all the time these days.... The older the kids get the worse as we tend to run in change clothes and run back out the door to the next activity. I usually say it looks like the house threw up!

I am new to couponing and your site and Jane4girls have helped me enormously. I live in Illinois so cannot get doubling of coupons and the same deals. Thank you so much for taking the time to update the blog. Happy New Year.

Hi Stephanie, Happy New Year 2010!!
I just want to thank you so much for all your hard work in posting so many deals. Your blog has been such a great help for me and yours is the only blog that I have been following up closely. Without your blog, I would never be able to grab the deals those I dont even think of. It really means a lot especially in this tight economy. Thanks again, and I appreciate your sharing all the deals. Good luck with your goals.

Just wanted to let you know, I am another devoted reader. I don't live close enough to all the stores to do daily runs, but I able to use some of your savings tips. Thanks so much for sharing them. Happy New Year!
