Food Town has about 26 locations in and around the Houston area.  Find out if you are close to one here.

If you are, you can either shop in store, or take your ad to Walmart to price match.
You can get on their home mailer list by stopping in at your store and asking at the service desk to be added to the mailing list.  Then, you should get a 2 page homemailer every week.  In this mailer is a coupon good for a deal of the week that can be combined with manufacturer coupons for added savings.

Food Town does NOT double or triple coupons and it is store policy to adjust the coupon down to the value of the item.  Most locations have a posted policy that states a limit of 6 like coupons.

Free $5 Gap giftcard - Facebook and Smartphone required

Interesting new app I am testing out.  Right now, you can go here on facebook and sign up for the Wrapp app to claim a $5 free giftcard to Gap, valid for 30 days.  Once, I accepted on facebook, I went to GooglePlay on my Android and downloaded the app and my $5 was in my account :D (Iphones are also eligible but I don't know much on how your apps work, should be about the same, any readers comments on that are welcome).
Offer valid at Gap, GapBody, GapKids, and babyGap stores in the U.S. only (including Puerto Rico). Offer not valid online, at Gap Outlet, Gap Factory Stores, The Gap Generation stores, or in Gap 1969 stores located on Robertson Blvd in Los Angeles, CA and Spring & Broadway in New York, NY. Discount applies to merchandise only, excluding Threadless®, Vismaya , Love Quotes®, Baggu ©, bkr®, Olympic, Puppet Shop, Hello Kitty®, Star Wars® and Junk Food™. Price adjustments allowed only once within 7 days of previous purchase during the valid dates of the offer. Not combinable with any other discounts, including the Gap Inc employee discount. Limit one per transaction. Discount taken at register.

Funny that when I went back to the facebook to read the fine print for this post, it showed I had an additional $5 gift card gifted to me from a coupon bud :D  SWEET!
With this app, it appears each month there are merchants that offer free gift cards you can "gift" to your friends via this app. Rather than try to explain on this and create a novel, read the faq found here.

Thanks Mercedes and Vanesa

Walgreens - Cheap Huggies Slip Ons Diapers

Lucky for me I have been out of the diaper buying for some time but I know many of my readers are not.  So, if you have not read about this yet, this post is for you!  Right now, Walgreens has the Huggies on sale for $9.49.  Even better, is if you choose the Huggies Slip Ons, Walgreens has a $4 off coupon in their monthly coupon booklet (found at the front of the store with the weekly ad).
Even better, you should have $2 coupons for the Slip Ons from the 7/8 Smart Source insert.

Combine all 3 and you can get a pack of diapers for just $3.49!
AND, since this is a sale price and not a register reward deal, you can score yourself a raincheck if they are sold out.  The insert coupons do expire August 4th, but we might be slated to get new ones before the $4 Walgreens coupon expires at the end of August :D

CVS - Better than Free Olay Products - after Rebate

I admit I have been a little MIA lately and I apologize for that.  I was just getting really burned out on chasing the deals and wanted to spend a little more time with my family.  I took last week off from work and didn't leave the house except for 2 days, it was WONDERFUL!
But, I am back at work and thus might as well get back to shopping.  I only got a chance to hit up CVS today cause I accidently drained the power from my car battery(Don't Ask, lol) and couldn't hit any other stores.

Well, there is a really good deal this week on Olay so I at least scored that.
First, if you can find this rebate form, make sure to pick on up so you can save your ink (if you don't find them, you can print here):
This rebate is for a $10 rebate when you buy $30 worth on Olay.  I was told by my coupon bud that the Olay deal advertised in the CVS ad is limit 2 even though it says limit 1 in ad(you MIGHT have to break up your transactions to get them both to print).  Since it was limit 2, I decided the best way for ME to do the deal was for 4 sets in my first transaction and 2 in the second so I could optimize the use of my $3/2 coupons.  Here is how my transactions went:

4 Olay facial cleansers/cloths $3.74 each
4 Olay bodywash $5.99 each
1 Feather clip $1.99
=$40.91
-$3 off $15 CRT for Olay (it listed other products too but I used it and can't remember them all, lol)
-4 x $5.99 Free Olay BodyWash wyb facials or cleansers, 7/29 Proctor and Gamble insert
-2 x $3/2 Olay facial cleansers or cloths, 7/1 Proctor and Gamble insert, expires tomorrow!
-$2 CRT for any hair accessory
=$5.95 and earned $5 ECB for spend $25 in P&G promo (plus the full $40.91 should count toward beauty reward)

This receipt will qualify me for the $10 rebate for Olay as well, BUT since I was only $11.08 from the next $25 spend for $5 ECB, I did one more transaction:

2 Olay facial cleansers/cloths $3.74 each
2 Olay bodywash $5.99 each
=$19.46
-2 x $5.99 Free Olay BodyWash wyb facials or cleansers, 7/29 Proctor and Gamble insert
-$3/2 Olay facial cleansers or cloths, 7/1 Proctor and Gamble insert, expires tomorrow!
=$4.48 and earned $5 ECB for spend $25 in P&G promo (plus the full $19.46 should count toward beauty reward, so I should get $5 ECB in two days for that)

That makes my final:
$5.95 + $4.48
-$5 ECB - $5 ECB - $5 ECB - $10 rebate
=Profit of $14.57 overall
YAY

A couple other deals I might do to roll my ECBS(but I just wasn't coordinated today)

I also got some of these CRTs to match up:
$2 Revlon Beauty Tool
There are $2.99 clippers(online price)
I plan to combine with manuf coupon from 6/24 Smart Source to get free

$2 off 3 Pantene, Herbal Essences,  or Aussie products
Pantene is 2/$6.97
I plan to combine with manuf $3/2 coupon from 6/24 SS or 7/29 P&G
making my cost $1.97 for two (before beauty reward earnings of .70)

$2 Bayer Asprin purchase of $4 or more
Cheapest is $3.19 so I can get two those use 2 $3/1 Bayer from 6/24 Smart Source
Making it a profit of $1.62

I got a $1 off $5 CRT for Dawn, Vicks, Puffs, Crest, CoverGirl or Gillette.
Most likely I will use this just for Dawn @ .99 each
I will combine this with 2 .25/1 from 7/1 P&G and  4 .50/1 coupons from 7/29 Proctor and Gamble
$2.44 or .41 each

Accu Chek Nano meter $9.99
Use $10 coupon from 7/29 Red Plum
FREE

$1 Cheez It Coupon through Free MyCokeRewards Points

Anybody who reads me knows I don't drink coke on a regular basis.  The rare occasion I have any Coke points, I give them to my mom since she loves Coke as much as I love my Diet DP.  Well, this deal is good even for those of you like me with ZERO mycokerewards points.

First go to mycokerewards and log in or sign up.

When you are logged in, enter the following two codes, each will earn you 10 points:
10096071476917 and 10096122897198.

If you want, you can just keep the points and be done with it.  If yo are like me and don't use MyCokeRewards enough to have the points just expire, then go here to apply 15 points toward a $1 Cheez It coupon.  This is a bricks, so you can print two by hitting back and refresh.

Now, while logged in, go here to get a FREE entry into the HEB promo to win groceries for 1 year!  While it says, it cost 3 points, it actually apparantly has one free entry per account.  Then I donated 3 points to a participating local school by clicking here.

There are also some zero points rewards like a download of the crabs and penguins game and some wallpaper downloads.

Thanks SD for the points and Cheez It info.

HOT Sale at The Children's Place!

WOW! The Children's Place is having a pretty good sale right now.  You can save 20% on an order of $50 or save 30% on an order of $60 or more.  Even better, you can snag free shipping as long as you have at least 1 non clearance denim item in your cart (I found a pair of pants for my eldest for just $12.)
TO CLARIFY - the denim CAN be on sale, just NOT the ones in the actual clearance section of the website! (Thanks Aliceson for the question)

After all was said and done, I snagged 12 assorted items for my kids for just $47 after tax.
I earned the free shipping since I got 1 pair of non clearance denim pants, and got the 30% off (over $18) savings for having $60 in my cart!
Plus, if you go through ShopatHome, you can snag 9% cash back
If you don't like ShopatHome and have a Discover card, ShopDiscover is offering 5% back.

*Click through the free shipping with denim link at either cash back site and then enter code X7H2012 for 20% off or T7H2012 for 30% off your purchase.

Randalls - Hot Find today

Today, I spent the day with the wonderfully nice folks at Randalls learning all about their new program Just for U.  While I will be doing a more detailed post on that later, I wanted to highlight something else I learned while there, surely by happenstance.
Part of your event today involved Randalls bussing us bloggers over to the beautiful Randalls store located at Westheimer and Gessner to shop and test out the Just for U (again I will be doing an extensive post on that later).  So naturally, upon walking in, I grabbed an ad just in case there is a coupon in the ad that I might be needing for my shopping quest.  Right away I noticed a HUGE difference with this ad versus my ad:
On the left is the image I noticed in the ad at this store, vs the ad in my store I shop in Sugar Land.  WOW!!! I knew there were differences in meat and produce prices based on region but had NO clue it could easily be $1 difference!  Naturally I picked up some ground beef while there, how could I NOT for that price!?

While this does end today, it is a good idea to check some other ads around you as I have just been told by two others that their ads in Katy ALSO had this $1.99/lb price for the 93% lean beef, WOW! (S Mason and S Fry locations.)  So, if you have a daily path with your commute or errands, you might want to check the ad online for stores you will be passing, it might just save you an extra buck or two :D

Kroger - Reader Spotlight on Kids Scissors

Reader Jenifer M. just sent me this picture and an unadvertised deal she found at Kroger on Scotch Kids scissors.
It appears Kroger has these scissors on sale for $0.99.  If you grab your $3 off 5 coupon from the 7/15 Smart Source insert, you can score these for just $0.39 a pair!  Now I am not sure about the kids scissors but I LOVE the adult ones I got awhile back for cheap at Target.  As a lefty I am extremely picky about my scissors and at least with the adult ones I have, they are multi-handed and don't leave those nasty marks on us lefties when we cut, hopefully the kids are the same :D

If you only need a couple pairs for your kiddos, considering donating the extras to your kids school for the kids that don't have supplies :D
Thanks Jenifer for the pic and the deal.

Staples almost free scenario - July 22 - 28th

Browsing the Staples ad, I have found a way for you to get 2 reams of paper, a pack of pencils, a pack of pens, a pack of photo paper and a few other small items for the low cost of .27 AFTER TAX*!

How?  Well, first you will want to go here to print the $5 off $30 purchase.
Now for your shopping list, if you choose to accept this challenge

Purchase:
1 pack  Zebra #2 0.7 mm mechanical pencils 10 pack $4
1 pack Pentel RSVP ballpoint pens fine black 5 pack $4
2 packs Staples 8.5 x 11 multipurpose paper, 500 sheets $6.99 each
1 pack HP everyday 8.5 x 11 photo paper, 50 sheets $9.99
2 packs Staples pink cap erasers, 12 count .01 each (with $5 additional purchase)
2 packs Stapls ruled 3 x 5 white index cards  .01 each (with $5 additional purchase)
=$32.01
-$5/30 printable
=$27.01 + tax(I am going to use 8.25% since that is TX standard)
=$29.24 paid at the register

Now, when you get home and back to your computer, go to StaplesEasyRebates
You will fill out the form for
1 pack Zebra pencils $4
1 pack Pentel pens $4
2 packs Staples paper $5.99 each
1 pack HP photo paper $8.99
=$28.97 back

So $29.24 cost - $28.97 back = $0.27 oop for all the items listed above!
NOTE: There WAS a $2 Zebra writing instrument printable coupon available earlier in the week, so if you got that, you can still use on the scenario above and your total would be $30.01 so still can use the $5 off $30 :D  Then you would have a money maker (I didn't print that coupon :( )

*You are actually also going to get back an additional $1.18 in your Staples Reward account so a small MM but I didn't want to confuse the issue.lose

Sobe - Free or Better than at Target

I had a really busy week at work so did not do a ton of shopping, but I did hop into Target this week to grab some Sobe water.
I had 4 bogo coupons that I found about a month ago at CVS and 1 free from BzzAgent.  I knew I read that you could score a $5 gift card wyb 10 and that they were $1 each.
I assumed that meant I would get them all free but I was surprised to see the bogo coupons too $1.79 off.

10 Sobes = $10
-4 x 1.79 - 4 bogo coupons autodeducted the max value and cashier couldn't figure out how to override
-$1.79 for freebie - again autodeducted max value and cashier said ok
=$1.14 after tax and earned $5 gift card

If you don't have the bogo tearpads, you might want to make a quick stop at Kroger to look for this new blinkie
I noticed it yesterday in store and it is for $1 off 2 Sobes.

If you Target allows you to use 5 coupons you could do the following
10 Sobes $10
-$5 - 5 blinkies
=$5 oop and earn $5 gift card so just pay tax

This deal does end today, sorry for the late post, but I just found these blinkies yesterday.  (Thanks Mayra and Debbie for the heads up)

If you still have any left over Heinz Vinegar coupons , I noticed they would be free right now at Target too :D

Kroger - Stayfree better than Free*, and free Ivory soap

I had grand plans yesterday of taking my Kroger ad to Walmart and price matching to get a few packages of Goldfish for the .99 advertised price.  BUT then I got my early lawn papers and noticed a coupon for $2 off any Stayfree product.  I thought I recalled seeing these on the mega deal at Kroger so I double checked and YES they are!

With the mega you have to buy 10 participating items to get the discounted price. But the Stayfree coupon has a limit of 4 like coupons per transaction.  So here is how I ended up getting my Goldfish cheaper then the price match:

4 Stayfree $1.50 each after mega
6 Goldfish $0.99 each after mega
-$8 - 4 $2 Stayfree coupons
=$3.94 or .66 a Goldfish :D
*They were actually slightly less as Stayfree is taxable so it made my tax negative.

The Ivory soaps are also $1 each so free with the 7/1 P&G insert.
