Attention Walmart Shoppers- or at least Gasoline purchasers

As my readers know, I don't really shop at Wal*mart, so thanks goes to my reader Nancy B. for this information.

Murphy USA is the owner of the gas service stations in the parking lots of Walmart stores in about 20 states. They have something called Murph e-offers. Just go here and sign up for email offers for coupons. You can also sign up for text message offers(standard texting rates from your carrier will apply) or mail offers. My reader got a free drink coupon and $1 off her next $10 or more fuel up.

Also, Murphy USA offers a 3 cent discount per gallon when paying with a Wal*mart gift card(this is an everyday savings whether you sign up for their e-offers or not.

Heely's for $19.95

Cyber Monday Deal, 11/30-12/6: Heelys Footwear- All Styles $19.95 This Week!

I am not sure if I am ready to get my little girls Heely's yet(they are clumsy like me), but my nephews LOVE them. 6pm is selling them for $19.95 through December 6th. I think this is an awesome price and I am going to ask my sister if the boys need a new pair! Cheap Christmas!

Cellfire will reload tommorrow Dec 1!

Today is the last day to load your Cellfire coupons for this cycle. You will still have 2 weeks to use them if you get them loaded today. I recommend loading them to your Safeway(Randalls, Tom Thumb) card. Tommorrow they are bound to have some duplicates to make some groceries free or really really cheap.

Happy BLACK FRIDAY!!!!!!!!

Hope all of you Black Friday shoppers are having a wonderful day. I have decided to take Black Friday off this year to spend time with family and friends. Hope everyone gets the wonderful deals being posted on HCW and the many shopper blogs out there. I will be back to shopping after the dust settles!

Walgreens run before Thanksgiving- FREE Toblerone

I ran a quick deal at Walgreens yesterday since I found out I could get Toblerone candy for FREE. Well, the cashier for some reason did not scan all my coupons(wouldn't even let me get the Reynolds foil since my coupon was for $1 and the store coupon made it 99c) Since I was just exhausted and wanting to be home, I didn't press the issue. I came out WAY ahead anyway, so not complaining.
Here is what my transaction looked like:
10 Toblerone on unadvertised sale for $1.50 - $1 insert - $1/2 Wags Nov booklet coupon = $3*(should be FREE but cashier didn't scan 3 of my coupons?)
2 Lubriderm 6 oz $3.79 - $2 insert - $1 Diabetes booklet = .79 each
1 Lubriderm 16 oz $7.49 - $2 insert - $1 Diabetes booklet = $4.49
2 Triaminic $1.69 each - $3/2 insert - $3.38 Wags healthy savings booklet = -$3
1 Christmas pencil .69 -.44 in ad coupon = .25
-$3 Register reward
Tax : .52
Cost oop : $3.84(had to pay with real money since I didn't have another filler for another RR since I thought my total would be ~$1
Earned $8 for Lubriderm, $5 for Triaminic
So cost $6.84, got back $13 and have yummy Toblerone for Christmas stockings!

Walgreens- GREAT money makers and HUGE suprise Money Maker!

I am starting to feel like myself again, so wanted to take advantage of the register reward deals Walgreens has going on this week! I had a $10 RR to roll so I had to find a store that had most the deals to really get my money's worth. I was in luck more than I realized at the store I hit up, so I ended up doing a couple transactions to really load up!(this store was very well stocked!)

Here is my first transaction:

2 Lubriderm* 6 oz lotion $3.79 each - $2 insert 10-11 RP = $3.58
1 Lubriderm 16 oz $7.49 - $2 insert 10-11 RP= $5.49
2 Theraflu $5 each - $3/2 insert 10-18SS - $4 Wags ($2 Healthy Savings booklet found in pharmacy)=$3
1 Triaminic $5
1 Triaminic $1.69**- $3/2 insert 10-18SS - $3.69 Wags($2 Healthy Savings booklet) = 0
1 Reynolds foil $1.69 - $1 booklet coupon(found at Randalls) - .70 in ad coupon = -.01
4 Coloring books $2 - .66 in ad coupon = $1.34
Spent $10 RR and 2 $2 RR as well as $1.90 on a gift card
Earned $8 for Lubriderm, $5 for Triaminic, $3 for Theraflu and $3 for Nabisco
*I could have saved an extra $3 by using the Lubiderm coupon in the Diabetes booklet but looking at me receipt, I noticed I forget to give them that coupon(guess I am not all better quite yet!)
**I did not realize until I was leaving after trans #2 that this was on clearance and a HUGE money maker, so I went back in for a 3rd transaction to take advantage)

Second transaction was to finish getting the 10 Nabisco products to fulfill my Jingle Holiday rebate.

Trans #2

After getting to my car and seeing the Triaminic was a HUGE profit, I decided to run back in and get some bread with the overage.

2 Theraflu $5 each - $3/2 insert 10-18SS- $4 Wags ($2 Healthy Savings booklet)=$3

Spent 2 $2 RR and .23 on gift card and got back
$5 for Triaminic and $3 for Theraflu
Will send off first two receipts for the $10 Jingle your Holiday rebate on Nabisco items

Houston Museum of Natural Science

Today at work, I received an email with access to print discount coupons for The Houston Museum of Natural Science. These discount coupons are good for both the main Houston location as well as the new Sugar Land satellite location.
This was sent to me by my companies HR department and I was told I could forward it to friends and family, so that is what I am going to do.

You simply print the coupon and exchange it at the museum box office to receive discounted rates to any of the attractions at either location.

Just go here and use the code: museum (case sensitive)
and print the page for your discount. Some of the discounts are not that large, but some seem pretty decent.

The perks of Twitter

I have to admit I have not had much time for Twitter lately, but it is definitely a GREAT media outlet and yet another marketing asset for manufacturers. The perk for consumers is the FREE stuff we can get by following our favorite brands. If you follow my blog, you know how much I have mentioned the new Nature Valley Nut Clusters and how super yummy I think they are! Well, Nature Valley had a random contest one day on Twitter. I forget the exact details, but it was something along the line of the first 5 to retweet a mesage won!

You are probably asking what we won? Well, I just got my package yesterday in the mail and it included what you see pictured above. 3 reusable shopping bags(I love having these!) and 3 free coupons, 2 coupons for free Nature Valley granola bars and 1 coupon for free Nature Valley Nut Clusters! Just for retweeting! That works for me.

If you decide to join up with twitter, be sure to follow me and get my tweets each time I update my blog.

Disclaimer: Nature Valley did not pay me anything for this post. I did win this contest on twitter as stated and received this prize for that win but was not compensated in any other way, and the opinions are mine alone and were not edited or reviewed by Nature Valley. I also do not get any compensation from Twitter.

Vocalpoint- You should join!

I have mentioned VocalPoint in previous posts and this is one example why. Yesterday, I received these coupons in the mail from VocalPoint. Membership is free, and if you notice, they sent me 1 $2 coupon for Pantene and several $1 Pantene coupons to share with friends.
If you are not already a member, I suggest you sign up, as I have earned lots of freebies from the great coupons they mail out!
Sorry guys, this is for women only.

Disclaimer: I do not get compensated from VocalPoint to post nor did they review this post. I receive coupons as a member, just as would any other members.

Randalls run to use up expiring cellfire coupons

I mustered up enough strength to hit up Randalls on the way to pick up my oldest from school(the youngest and I were home sick today). My tuna actually rang up VERY wrong and VERY overpriced, but I just didn't have the energy to wait at the service desk for the correction ( I didn't notice until I had cashed out) so I just let it go. Here is what my transaction looked like:

1 Way overpriced Randalls can of tuna $1.49(shelf tag said .79, but noticed this is a 6oz can instead of 5 oz I bought on mom's card, so BEWARE the overpriced 6 oz cans!!!!!)-.55 Hurricane map coupon = .94

*I will be saving my receipt to get $10 wyb 10 Nabisco crackers in the new Jingle Holiday coupon booklet I found at the front of Randalls store- the 4 Nabisco Premium crackers qualify.

I also should earn $1 in my Upromise for the Huggies diapers.

Sicne I was already there, I also wanted to use my moms card for her loadables as well. She has different loadables since I don't always use her card. Here is what I got on it:

1 Fiber One Muffin mix $2.50 - 2 .50 Cellfire - .50 Shortcuts- .50 IP= FREE
2 Chex Cereal $1.67 each - 2 $1 Cellfire - $1 Shortcuts- $1/2 IP= -.66

Tax: $.62

Total oop: $6.65 and I will mail in for $1.50 on the diapers from the Caregiver rebate.

Nine West $14.95 all styles

I just found out that 6pm is having a one week sale on Nine West footwear. I love Nine West shoes(just ask my bff- we bought the same pair of loafers in different colors one day, lol).
I know sizes will be going fast, so if you are interested in any Nine West shoes, you should hurry!
One thing I really LOVE about the 6pm site, is that you can shop by brand and then by size. I like that feature because I don't have to see all the shoes that they have sold out of my size on!
I think I am going to grab a pair of basic black heels(pictured above) for those days at work that my Crocs are just not dressy enough for, lol.
*Sorry guys, I am sick at home with a sick kiddo, so all I can do is look at online deals right now, lol!

Free Photo Gifts and cards!- NOT an online offer!

I am sorry to report the great deals at SeeHere were not meant for online distribution.
I was just informed that these offers were made available to customers who purchase Santa portrait packages at select malls throughout the US. I am sorry to get the hopes up of my readers, as I was also excited about these too good to be true offers.
However, if you are planning on taking your little ones to a local mall for Santa pictures, you may want to do some research and see if your local mall is participating in these offers for a wonderful added bonus.

Sorry again to my readers for all the problems! I am a bit bummed too since I was too sick to do "much" shopping today

Stay tuned for my post on my Randalls run today(not as great as usual since I was not in full health and had another sicky with me, lol.

Cellfire - SAVE those coupons- Cheap Huggies Scenario

Monday is sneaking up on us yet again, and yet again, this Monday is the last day to load the current Cellfire coupons! I suggest loading to your Randalls (Safeway) card just in case Tuesday has similar coupons. At Safeway, you have a chance to stack coupons so definitely a way to get freebies.

If you have been keeping up with the loads, here is a GREAT suggestion for cheap Huggies diapers:
Todays paper had a Randalls ad with a $7.99 Randalls store coupon on Huggies(these should also be in store if you don't get a paper)
You might have a $1 Cellfire loadable and a $3/2 Cellfire loadable
You might also have a $1.50 Shortcuts loadable
Then go to Upromise and load their $1 coupon(this one will not come off at register, but will be added to your Upromise account)
Then go to Coupons.com and print 2 $2 off coupons(unless you have home mailers worth more)

Go to Randalls tommorrow and purchase 2 packages of Huggies
2 x $9.99 = 19.98
- $4 Randalls ad coupon(make sure it takes $4 off, if not let them know!)
- $1 Cellfire - $3 Cellfire - $1.50 Shortcuts
-$4 from 2 IPs
= $6.48 for 2 packages of diapers

Send in for Caregiver rebate for .75 a package and you will earn $1 from Upromise so
$6.48- $1.50 - $1 = $3.98 for 2 packages of Huggies!

I also noticed I have 3 loadables for Chex Mix cereal for $1/2.
Combine with the $1/2 printable at Coupons.com and they are a money maker at Randalls(currently on sale $1.67 each- Thanks Courtney!)

There is also a Randalls Super Coupon for the Quaker Chewy granola bars for .99 each.
There is a printable at Redplum or an insert in 10-11 RP for $1/2, so .49 a box!

Sunday Paper 11-15 - Extra coupons!

Don't throw your paper in the recycle bin until you look for the Parade Supplement and the Kroger Supplement.
This week the Parade has the following coupons:
$1/2 OreIda Steam n Mash potatoes or Ore-Ida Hash Browns
$1 Nivea body wash for women
$2 Glade Fragrance Collection product
The Kroger supplement has the following coupons(these are manuf coupons, except the first):
$20 in free groceries when you transfer a script
$2 Your Life Multivitamins or any Nature's Bounty product
$2 Zicam Cold remedy product
$5 Accu-Chek Multiclix or Softclix lancets
$1 Eucerin or Nivea product
.75 Lipton Green tea 20 count
.50 Applegate Farms frozen product

Duracell batteries - .40 per package

Kroger is running a catalina promotion on Duracell batteries right now. When you purchase $10 worth, you get a $2 oynso catalina, and when you purchase $20 worth, you get $5. Well, there are two things making this an even sweet deal. First, the 4 packs of AA and AAA and the 2 packs of C and D(one pack 9V) are on sale for $1.88. Second, the catalina machine is ready presale price of $3.39!
So, you only actually need to purchase 6 packs to earn the $5 catalina(6 x $3.39 = $20.34)
Here is how my transaction looks:
6 @ 1.88 = 11.28
- 6 $.75 insert coupons 11-2 P&G = $6.78
Tax .56
Total cost oop: $7.34 and earned the $5 oynso
So $7.34 - $5 = $2.34
You can also roll this deal, so if you need batteries, now is the time to stock up.
Thanks Courtneyrtr for testing the pre-coupon price for us :)

2 Yakisoba $.99 each - .50 insert 10-18SS = FREE
1 Adolphus latin rice $1 - .35 IP (beeps) = FREE
2 Birdseye steamfresh rice $1.50 - .35 insert 10-18SS= .45 each
1 Birdseye steamfresh corn(not pictured) $1.50 - .35 insert 10-18SS= .45
1 Clorox 2 Bleach $6.89*
1 Jennie-O turkey $3.99 - $5 home mailer = -$1.01
1 Kroger gift card for $5(to get my required $20 purchase)
Tax .16
Total cost oop: $12.34
*I have a try me free rebate on Clorox 2 bleach so $6.89 coming back in rebates
**Just noticed there is a $1.50 Clorox 2 IP coupon here (could have been paid for my turkey, lol)
Still have the $5 Kroger gift card for future purchase
So $12.34 + .44(cost of stamp) - $6.89 rebate - $5 gift card = $0.89 cost!

2nd Annual "Drop & Swap" event on Nov 14, 2009- Katy

Sustainable Living, a non-profit environmental group that helps educate Houstonians about recycling, eating local/organic foods, using earth-friendly products to clean your home and generally how to live a 'greener' lifestyle, is having their 2nd Annual "Drop & Swap" event on November 14, 2009.

This is a free event and sounds like loads of fun and a great way to recycle and help reduce landfill dumping.
The 'drop' portion of the event is from 8am-Noon. Participants are asked to drop off electronics, computers, household batteries, cell phones, and much more to be recycled. This will take place in the parking lot. Inside they may drop off wearable clothing and usable household items that they no longer want/need.

The 'swap' portion of the event is from 4 pm-7pm where participants are allowed to shop through the dropped items and take home anything they want/need for free.
If you participate in the 'drop' portion of the event, you get to get into the 'swap' portion 1 hour early!
Sustainable Living will also be handing out “Green Scene Bags” to the first 250 people who come to the 'Swap' portion. These bags are re-usable totes and will include samples and discount coupons for green/environmentally-friendly/organic goods and services. There will also be information about green living.

There will be other fun events like 'Project Re-Use' where aspiring designers will use items of clothing that have been 'dropped' and re-make them into a brand new outfit. There will be a fashion show and the winners of the competition will win prizes.
Live music
Wine for purchase

Please see the SustainableLiving website for more information on this FREE event.

PSA: Shopping carts are NOT toys!

Sorry for my lack of posts this week, but I am recovering from a fall due to a shopping cart mishap. It has been hard to shop or clip and organize this week so I just haven't. Lucky for me I have a huge stockpile and stocked up on milk, eggs and fruit before my little accident.
Here is where the PSA (public service announcement) comes in.
I guess the "experts" know what they are talking about. You should NOT ride on a shopping cart down a parking lot!
I had my oldest with me and she wanted to "go FAST" and I made the mistake of hopping onto the cart for a ride too. Well, lets just say the cart toppled! Lucky for me my child was uninjured, my left hand and knee though, was not so lucky. This occurred on Sunday evening and today is the first day I have an actual scab so I don't have to have it covered in bandages.
For those that like to see details, I will provide the link for pictures. For those with a weak stomach, I suggest NOT looking, these look gross.
This is what it looked like Monday afternoon. Here is what it looks like today.
Anyway, enough boring stuff, if I bombard you with posts today, I am sorry but I am just happy to get some of my mobility in my fingers back!
Oh, and remember: Shopping carts are NOT toys. Be careful out there.

eta: Thanks goes to CVS and Walgreens for all the deals on free bandaids and Neosporin :)

Randalls deal with loadables and Free Breakfast coupons

I am sorry for the delay in posting this deal. I meant to get it posted yesterday so my readers would have a chance to get in on the breakfast item coupons found in the Randalls ad, but I had a run in with asphalt and it won!(Tore the skin off 3 knuckles of my dominant hand)

Anyway, I went to Randalls and my transaction wasn't too hard, but my moms turned out to be a mess! In the end, I was there WAY too long(2.5 hours) and some things rang up wrong. I still did well enough, that I am not going to bother disputing it now.

For Disney releases, limit one (1) code per title regardless of media (DVD, Blu-ray, CD, etc.) or method of redemption per Account. Limit: Enrollee cannot enter more than 10 invalid codes within a twenty-four (24) hour period.

Ironic delivery in mailbox!

A month or so ago I signed up for a free sample of Betty Crocker potatoes. I had forgotten all about it, until I checked my mail and found these Au Gratin potatoes in my mailbox. I thought it was funny since I have been getting the mashed potato packets with the mega sale for free. Glad I signed up for the free Au Gratin instead of the mashed.
I was also excited to see I got a .50 coupon which doubled will make another BOX of potatoes free during the mega sale, yippee!
AND the real bonus was the extra box tops on the box! I am the Box Top coordinator for my kids' school and was happy to see those on the box. If you have not joined Box Tops, you should. It is a really great program that gives money to participating schools. Right now they have a Power of 1 promotion going that will give 5 bonus boxtops to your school for each person that signs up. If you don't have a school, I would LOVE for you to sign up under my kids' school. It is a very small school and they could use all the help they can get. Just go here and create an account. If you want to help my kiddos school, I would be more than happy to supply you with the name and zip code of the school via email. (catladyfour4 yahoo com)

Kroger mega run Saturday

Ok, Saturday was a crazy day! My husband wanted to brew beer and I wanted to shop. So, we both won, sort of. He stayed home to brew his beer and I went shopping.............with two kiddos in tow!
I wanted to get as many coupons used for the mega sale as I could seeing as some of them were set to expire that day. I made a few mistakes with calculating (hmmm two little girls fighting didn't help, lol) but all in all, I think I did pretty well. You will notice I did also purchase two bottles of wine in all this(perhaps because two little girls were fighting at each store!)
It would take me far too long to itemize each trip, so I am just going to give you a summation of the quantities I purchased and where I found the misc. coupons I used. I hope you don't mind!

Please remember too, I shop for 4 households so this is really not a HUGE stash once everyone takes their share.

HEB deal on Chicken and a Skillet!

This next deal was brought to my attention by one of my readers and is local to the Texas(mostly) folks. Thank you Fun times with the Larsen's for the heads up on this deal. For those of you with an HEB, there is a great deal right now on chicken fajita meat and they will give you a preseasoned cast iron fajita skillet for FREE.
The Seasoned Fajita Chicken Thighs are already at a low price of .99/lb and packaged in 4-5 lbs packages. Right next to them, you should find a display of skillets and the famous yellow coupons that will get you a free skillet for each fajita package you purchase.
I found a package just a bit over $4 and got the skillet for FREE! For my family that package will easily make 2 meals, maybe more. Enjoy!

Cellfire- Last day to load for this cycle

Well, it is the end of another cycle at cellfire. Don't forget to load up all your coupons onto your Randalls card TODAY. Tommorrow a new batch will come out and you can hope for duplicates that net FREE groceries. While you are at it, visit Shortcuts and load up on those too.
Yesterday I was at Randalls and noticed the smallest bottle of Tabasco was on sale for .99. I had two .50 loadables from Shortcuts come off and I used a .75 tearpad coupon I found. I got paid .76 to buy Tabasco!
Also, if you have been working the Pillsbury catalina deal at Randalls or Kroger, that is soon coming to an end. It ends either today or tommorrow, I am not sure. Every store I have been to has had the blinkie making the Grands Jr 5 pack FREE!
