Houston Museum of Natural Science
This was sent to me by my companies HR department and I was told I could forward it to friends and family, so that is what I am going to do.
You simply print the coupon and exchange it at the museum box office to receive discounted rates to any of the attractions at either location.
Just go here and use the code: museum (case sensitive)
and print the page for your discount. Some of the discounts are not that large, but some seem pretty decent.

Free Photo Gifts and cards!- NOT an online offer!
I was just informed that these offers were made available to customers who purchase Santa portrait packages at select malls throughout the US. I am sorry to get the hopes up of my readers, as I was also excited about these too good to be true offers.
However, if you are planning on taking your little ones to a local mall for Santa pictures, you may want to do some research and see if your local mall is participating in these offers for a wonderful added bonus.
Sorry again to my readers for all the problems! I am a bit bummed too since I was too sick to do "much" shopping today
Stay tuned for my post on my Randalls run today(not as great as usual since I was not in full health and had another sicky with me, lol.

Cellfire - SAVE those coupons- Cheap Huggies Scenario
If you have been keeping up with the loads, here is a GREAT suggestion for cheap Huggies diapers:
Todays paper had a Randalls ad with a $7.99 Randalls store coupon on Huggies(these should also be in store if you don't get a paper)
You might have a $1 Cellfire loadable and a $3/2 Cellfire loadable
You might also have a $1.50 Shortcuts loadable
Then go to Upromise and load their $1 coupon(this one will not come off at register, but will be added to your Upromise account)
Then go to Coupons.com and print 2 $2 off coupons(unless you have home mailers worth more)
Go to Randalls tommorrow and purchase 2 packages of Huggies
2 x $9.99 = 19.98
- $4 Randalls ad coupon(make sure it takes $4 off, if not let them know!)
- $1 Cellfire - $3 Cellfire - $1.50 Shortcuts
-$4 from 2 IPs
= $6.48 for 2 packages of diapers
Send in for Caregiver rebate for .75 a package and you will earn $1 from Upromise so
$6.48- $1.50 - $1 = $3.98 for 2 packages of Huggies!
I also noticed I have 3 loadables for Chex Mix cereal for $1/2.
Combine with the $1/2 printable at Coupons.com and they are a money maker at Randalls(currently on sale $1.67 each- Thanks Courtney!)
There is also a Randalls Super Coupon for the Quaker Chewy granola bars for .99 each.
There is a printable at Redplum or an insert in 10-11 RP for $1/2, so .49 a box!
Sunday Paper 11-15 - Extra coupons!
Duracell batteries - .40 per package

2nd Annual "Drop & Swap" event on Nov 14, 2009- Katy
This is a free event and sounds like loads of fun and a great way to recycle and help reduce landfill dumping.
The 'drop' portion of the event is from 8am-Noon. Participants are asked to drop off electronics, computers, household batteries, cell phones, and much more to be recycled. This will take place in the parking lot. Inside they may drop off wearable clothing and usable household items that they no longer want/need.
The 'swap' portion of the event is from 4 pm-7pm where participants are allowed to shop through the dropped items and take home anything they want/need for free.
If you participate in the 'drop' portion of the event, you get to get into the 'swap' portion 1 hour early!
Sustainable Living will also be handing out “Green Scene Bags” to the first 250 people who come to the 'Swap' portion. These bags are re-usable totes and will include samples and discount coupons for green/environmentally-friendly/organic goods and services. There will also be information about green living.
There will be other fun events like 'Project Re-Use' where aspiring designers will use items of clothing that have been 'dropped' and re-make them into a brand new outfit. There will be a fashion show and the winners of the competition will win prizes.

Wine for purchase

PSA: Shopping carts are NOT toys!
Here is where the PSA (public service announcement) comes in.
I guess the "experts" know what they are talking about. You should NOT ride on a shopping cart down a parking lot!
I had my oldest with me and she wanted to "go FAST" and I made the mistake of hopping onto the cart for a ride too. Well, lets just say the cart toppled! Lucky for me my child was uninjured, my left hand and knee though, was not so lucky. This occurred on Sunday evening and today is the first day I have an actual scab so I don't have to have it covered in bandages.
For those that like to see details, I will provide the link for pictures. For those with a weak stomach, I suggest NOT looking, these look gross.
This is what it looked like Monday afternoon. Here is what it looks like today.
Anyway, enough boring stuff, if I bombard you with posts today, I am sorry but I am just happy to get some of my mobility in my fingers back!
Oh, and remember: Shopping carts are NOT toys. Be careful out there.
eta: Thanks goes to CVS and Walgreens for all the deals on free bandaids and Neosporin :)

Kroger mega run Saturday
I wanted to get as many coupons used for the mega sale as I could seeing as some of them were set to expire that day. I made a few mistakes with calculating (hmmm two little girls fighting didn't help, lol) but all in all, I think I did pretty well. You will notice I did also purchase two bottles of wine in all this(perhaps because two little girls were fighting at each store!)
It would take me far too long to itemize each trip, so I am just going to give you a summation of the quantities I purchased and where I found the misc. coupons I used. I hope you don't mind!
Please remember too, I shop for 4 households so this is really not a HUGE stash once everyone takes their share.

HEB deal on Chicken and a Skillet!
The Seasoned Fajita Chicken Thighs are already at a low price of .99/lb and packaged in 4-5 lbs packages. Right next to them, you should find a display of skillets and the famous yellow coupons that will get you a free skillet for each fajita package you purchase.
I found a package just a bit over $4 and got the skillet for FREE! For my family that package will easily make 2 meals, maybe more. Enjoy!

Cellfire- Last day to load for this cycle
Yesterday I was at Randalls and noticed the smallest bottle of Tabasco was on sale for .99. I had two .50 loadables from Shortcuts come off and I used a .75 tearpad coupon I found. I got paid .76 to buy Tabasco!
Also, if you have been working the Pillsbury catalina deal at Randalls or Kroger, that is soon coming to an end. It ends either today or tommorrow, I am not sure. Every store I have been to has had the blinkie making the Grands Jr 5 pack FREE!
