110 Energizer AA Batteries for $5.36

I stopped by Walgreens in hopes of getting some Nivea Bodywash for free after RR. They were sold out so I looked around the store to see if anything else was worth the stop. I stumbled upon an orange clearance tag on Energizer 2 count AA batteries. They were only $1.09 each and we got $1 off any coupons in the 4-19SS newspaper inserts. Luckily, I had 55 of those coupons and even more lucky that I went to a VERY VERY coupon friendly store that the manager actually rang me up and cheered me on! So after the clearance sale and all my coupons I paid $5.36($4.95 + .41 tax). Definitely need these for our portable radios with the weather we have been having and hurricane season just around the corner.

Anon, I do not buy 55 papers.
I seek free coupons from friends, family, coworkers, Starbucks, Chick Fil A etc. They all add up and I had 55 coupons on a weekend that I bought 6 papers!

I have yet to find any coupon friendly store. And this past week at Walgreens I feel like they think I'm trying to get away with something when all I am trying to do is use one or two coupons. Nothing like I see so many other people doing and blogging about.

I must admit I am struggling to find a friendly WAGs and I only use 5 coupons at a time, and greet them all with a smile.

I'm going to sound old, but in my day as a check-out girl it was always customer first. We dropped everything, shelve stacking, gossiping with the girl next to us ... it all came second.

Sometimes I wonder what the new job descriptions read ...

1. Must deter customer from spending money;

2. Be able to chat to fellow staff and NOT make eye-contact with customer;

3. Be able to tell white lies, i.e. if it's not on the shelf, it is not in the stockroom.

ete ... etc ... etc...

Anyway .. :) well done on gettng all those batteries, lucky you!!! :)

Do you carry all your coupons with you in case of deals like this? How do you have them organized/keep track of all the coupons you have?

Yes, I carry all my coupons with me. I have 3 binders and then a box of whole inserts for weeks that I acquire lots of extras. I try to keep a list of what is in that weeks insert so I know if I have any of those coupons.

Thanks for the heads up on it.

I just want to tell you that you are so awesome and I don't know what I would do with out you. I also wanted to use your blog to get something off my chest. These what I call "super coupon trips" have been great and even my kids have gotten into it. We had an incident today where my son was driving(fifteen with a permit) and we were merging into HWY 90 and a man and his wife in a black Nissan Xterra in a high rate of speed decided they wanted to move from the left lane into the right lane where we were merging and then proceed to slow down infront of us when my son moved over to the left lane and signaled to the right lane he sped up and started making inappropiate gestures with my kids in the car. We'll I wanted to say is that I hope that he has a better day and what ever he is going through God will help him come out of it. I was scared and so where my kids butI just wanted to let this out, it still will never stop me from my couponing.

Anon, thank you for reading and I am glad your kids and yourself are ok. Seems too many people are in a hurry to get nowhere these days!
