Heb deal for you TX readers

Got the heads up about a GREAT deal at HEB grocery from a couple friends of mine (Thanks C and K )

This deal allowed for overage so I took advantage. My husband made some really awesome chili for us about a week ago and it was so good I am gonna make him repeat the recipe(I will even post pics and the recipe when he makes it this weekend if you guys would like)
Anyway, here is what I did:

10 Vicks cough drops .99 each - $1.50 any Vicks product 2-21 P&G = -$5.10
5 Puffs with vicks $1.97 each - Free wyb 2 Vicks products 2-7 P&G = FREE
1 Simply Orange $3.45
2 Kidney beans $.64 each
1 3lb onions $1.49
Cost oop: $1.12

*None of the coupons beep before you ask :)

Was the .99 price thru yesterday (Tues.) or is it still going on? I know you usually say "this was the last day". Thanks for all the great posts. They've really helped alot.

.99 appears to be the everyday price on the cough drops :)

This is the everyday price for the vick's vapodrops ?!? Whoo-hoo! I have lots of these q's. And my kids teacher just asked for more kleenex at school -woot!
I don't think I've ever heard of q's NOT beeping @ HEB. wow.
Thanks so much for the hidden deal and thank your friends again!!(c/k)

I went to the HEB in Atascocita. They had plenty of the cough drops (2 flavors), but they were out of the Puff's w/Vicks. I will try the Kingwood HEB. But, I agree, it appears to be the everyday price - so no hurry.

Susan, no, I used the $1.50 off ANY Vicks product found in the insert I listed.

Yay! great deal! I didn't look closely at the picture and thought the cough drops came in a bag. I almost gave up looking for them and then realized they are in boxes! Also, while I was at HEB I found a good Kraft Parmesan and Dressing tearpad...

went to a small HEB in Bellaire - looked all over for the cough drops in boxes didn't find them :(
will go to larger store tomorrow. I even asked a guy that worked there and he looked but didn't see them either, not even a price tag for them.

I am going to ask a question about the coupons not beeping....which order did you give the coupons: bogo or 1.50 off first? I usually give bogos first, but since the 1.50 qs have overage, maybe this is different.

And, after reading other comments, I'm wondering if the vicks cough drops are in a special place in the store.

Stephanie - I don't see those coupons in my 2-21 P&G. could this be because I purchased the paper on Saturday?

Jennifer, in my store, the cough drops are hanging and the very next 4 ft section has a shelf they were sitting on. I almost missed them because they are so small.
They actually rang me up twice because when the manager came to override(because of such a high coupon limit and low oop) she accidently deleted the coupons. The first time, she did the bogo first, the second time, she did the $1.50 first, so order should not matter.

Anon- I purhcased my papers on Sat. too, so that cannot be it. Maybe check your last couple P&G inserts(I relyed on HCW database to tell me when they came out because I already had them clipped)
We got $1 ones in Jan, $1.50 off any Vicks product, and $1.50 off Vicks Dayquil/Nyquil. I used the $1.50 off any Vicks products but the $1 would also make them free if you are just after the free tissues.

LOVED this one! Thank you so much for heads up on it. Not one coupon beeped, just as you said. It was a super smooth transaction. Wish I had a million of those. :)

Anyone looking for them, look for the little boxes of cough drops. There's only 20ish in each box, so it's the size of something you would throw in your purse.

Not every HEB has the cough drops. The HEB in Kingwood doesn't carry them, but the one in Atascocita does. Now just waiting for them to restock the Puffs. My poor son has a stuffy/runny nose, so I'm sure we will use the tissues right up!

At one HEB, the coupons certainly didn't beep, but the cashier couldn't stand that my total was less than $2 so he called his manager and they wouldn't do it. I just had 12 of the $1.50 coupons and that was it, so I said "I just want the grapefruit" (10 for $1!), and went to another HEB later with no problems.

I know this is a late comment, but thank you!! I was just able to round up a second $1.50/1 Vicks product coupon so I went to HEB and it worked beautifully! Plus, the Free Puffs coupon doesn't specify a limit on what kind of Puffs to get so I got the 3 pack ($4.96) free...and no beeps!! Thank you so much!! Now to find more of those coupons!! :)
