I have moved into Randalls for the week!

I could not believe my luck. I received a 10% off card in the mail from Randalls this week, so I called to have it added to my existing card and somehow now I have 2 10% discounts coming off for a total of 20% off all my shopping until 5-6! So at lunch I decided to see what I could get cheap and here is what I came up with:

Part of Living Well promo(spend $30 get back $10 catalina)
1 No Yolk Noodles $1.50 - .75 coupon (3-15SS)
10 Yoplait yogurts @ .50 each (wyb 10) - .25 each for reduced for quick sale stickers(no coupon because I didn't have it with me, but there is a .40/6 cups from 4-19 SS that would have saved me another .80)
6 Ziploc freezer bags $3.29 each - 2 $1/2 coupons (3-15 SS) 2 .40/1 coupons(1 doubles 3-15 SS)
2 California Pizza Kitchen melts @ $2.50 each - $1 blinkies

Not part of LW:
5 Pedigree Dentastix* $5.99 each - $2.50 coupon (4-19 RP)
2 Pillsbury crescent rolls $1.50 each - .40/2 doubled(4-5SS)
1 Pillsbury cinnamon rolls $1.79 - .30/1 tripled(4-5 SS)
1 Kids reusable shopping bag $1.99 - $2 coupon wyb $50 worth of stuff
-11.20 (20% discount)
-15 ($10 in prior Lw catalina, $3 prior Pillsbury catalina, $2 prior catalina from Ozarka)
Spent $18.31 oop + 15 in cats and got back $10 from Lw, 3 $1.25 from Ziploc, $3 from Pillsbury

*Pedigree Dentastix I bought were marked 2/$6 or $3 each in the store I shopped. However, they rang up $5.99 each, hence the large oop!
I went to the service desk and they confirmed the shelf tag and gave me back $21.60 in cash(difference between (5.99-3) * 5 times + tax)
I am not sure where they came up with this amount to give me back???? I was in a hurry since it was my lunch hour, so I didn't noticed it was higher than I should of got until I got back to work!

So final tally that run:
Cost: $18.31 + $10 +$3 + $2 = $33.31
Received: $ 21.60 + $10 LW + $3 + $3.75 = $38.35
Profit: $5.04

After coming home and dropping off the kiddos, I convinced dh to let me hit another store! I scored finding peelies and hangtags and got the following:

Part of Lw Promo:
2 Cranergy juice $2.99 each - $2 hangtags
2 Ocean Spray juices $2.50 - 2.50 each(free wyb 2 Smart Start cereal peelies)
4 Smart Start Cereal $2.79 each - $1 peelies off THIS Kelloggs cereal
2 Ziploc bags $3.29 each - 2 .40/1 coupons (one doubles)
1 Simply Oj $3

Not part of Lw Promo:
3 Pillsbury cinnamon rolls $1.79 each - .30/1 coupons (one triples)
3 Glade scented gel warmer $2.29 - free SC Johnson booklet coupon
1 Randalls reusable bag $1.49 - free coupon(took off $2???)

- 5.70 (20%)
-10 Lw catalina
- 1.25 (prior Ziploc catalina)
Paid $4.15 oop and earned back
$10 Lw catalina, 1 $1.25 catalina and 1 $3 catalina for Pillsbury

So final tally that run:
Cost: $4.15 + $10 +$1.25 = $15.40
Received: $ 10 LW + $3 + $1.25 = $14.25
Cost: $1.15

So $1.15 - $5.04 = -$3.89 Profit for the day! I can live with that. I needed orange juice, so to get paid to buy it and all this other stuff is ok with me.

110 Energizer AA Batteries for $5.36

I stopped by Walgreens in hopes of getting some Nivea Bodywash for free after RR. They were sold out so I looked around the store to see if anything else was worth the stop. I stumbled upon an orange clearance tag on Energizer 2 count AA batteries. They were only $1.09 each and we got $1 off any coupons in the 4-19SS newspaper inserts. Luckily, I had 55 of those coupons and even more lucky that I went to a VERY VERY coupon friendly store that the manager actually rang me up and cheered me on! So after the clearance sale and all my coupons I paid $5.36($4.95 + .41 tax). Definitely need these for our portable radios with the weather we have been having and hurricane season just around the corner.

Walgreens Earth Day Promo

WOW! I went to Walgreens to get the free reusable bag and boy was I suprised by what I found. The coupon stated the bag was free with a purchase, so I started checking the aisle to see what I was going to buy and I stumbled upon the motherload of clearance sales. My pictures reflect 4 total transactions at 3 different stores.
Trans 1:
4 Goodnights clearanced +15% coupon = $2.46 each - 3 $1.50 coupons(I only clipped 3 and didn't want to run back out to my car to get another one, lol)
5 Walgreens size 3 14 count diapers clearanced +15% coupon = $.87 each (will earn .09 back on W card for this purchase)
3 Off products clearanced +15% coupon = $1.44 each - $1 esc = .44 each
1 Walgreens shopping bag .79 after 20% off coupon - store coupon = FREE
Paid with $3.50 and 2 $3 Register rewards and $1.63 on W card
Will get back $3 for Caregiver Rebate and .53 on W card and $2.34 from friend wanting the Goodnights(price I paid less the coupons and caregiver rebate) - $4.35 from friend wanting the Size 3 diapers(cost to me)
Trans 2:
1 Chapstick $1.69 after 15% coupon
1 Barrel of monkeys pen clearanced +15% coupon = .42
1 Walgreens shopping bag .79 after 20% off coupon - store coupon = FREE
Paid with $2 RR and .12 on W card but earned $2 RR and will earn .08 on W card for free bag
(I was also given an extra bag at this store because the prior customer refused their bag, woo hoo!)
Trans 3:
6 Huggies 184 count wipes clearanced +15% coupon = $1.86 - .75 for 4 and .50 for 2(again I didn't clip enough from 4-19SS and didn't want to go back out to car)
12 two packs of Deerfield farm corn dogs clearanced +20% coupon = .20 each
3 Off Skintastic clearanced + 15% coupon = $1.44 - $1 ESC
1 Iams cat food 4lb clearanced +15% coupon = $2.03
8 Walgreens size 1 14 count diapers clearanced +20%coupon = $.87 each
1 Walgreens shopping bag .79 after 20% off coupon - store coupon = FREE
Paid with $10 in previous RR and $10.49 on gift cards and will earn back $1.02 from W card
Will also get $6.96 back from friend wanting the size 1 diapers and will get a coupon for another free Iams cat food for purchasing this one
Trans 4:
3 Disney christmas stickers clearanced +15% coupon = $.63 each
6 six packs of Deerfield farm corn dogs clearanced +20% coupon = .40 each
1 Walgreens shopping bag .79 after 20% off coupon - store coupon = FREE
Paid $4.43 on gift card but will earn back $0.32 on W card
So final tally for the day:
$3.50+$6+1.63 -2.34(friends)-4.35(friends) -$3(caregiver)-.53(W card) + 2.12 -2.08(RR+W card) +20.49 - 1.02(W card) - $6.96(friends) +4.43 -.32(W card) =$17.57
So $17.57 for what I am keeping:
1104 Huggies baby wipes
60 Corn dogs
6 Off products
5 Walgreens reusable shopping bags
3 Disney sets of stickers
2 4lb bags Iams cat food
1 Chapstick
1 Barrel of Monkeys pen

Cheap produce

Sorry I don't have a picture to accompany this post. It seems I have misplaced my cord to my camara(hope to find it later and add picture)
I went to the 99c only store to pick up my newspapers and decided to check their produce section. WOW! They have a great selection yet again. I bought a bag of 9 oranges, 6 Roma tomatoes, 5 anjou pears, and a 1lb bag of baby carrots for $4.
They also had Kiwi(6 pack), Cucumbers(2 packs), 3 different colors of Bell peppers(2 packs), garlic(8 packs), ginger root, tomatoes, cherry tomatoes(1 pint), celery, lettuce, and full size carrots(1 lb) for just $1 each. Definitely worth a look when the grocery stores are not running specials.
Also, if you are in need of bread, they carry Sara Lee for just $1 a loaf and they have white, 100% whole wheat and Honey wheat. That sure is much cheaper than the grocery store has it on sale.

Tuckerbags

For those of you who have been following my blog, you should have noticed I use reusable shopping bags for most my deals. Well, I came across these Tuckerbags on another blog and wanted to test them out for myself. I contacted the company and they were nice enough to send me a bag to test out. The picture above is the bag they sent in its carrying pouch. As you can see, it folds up to about the size of a 12 oz soda can.

I have to say I LOVE this bag! First, it comes in the easy carry pouch that also has a clip that I can attach to my purse. This is ideal as it is one less thing occupying my hands while trying to get my coupons and two kiddos into the stores safely. Secondly, the carrying pouch is actually sewn onto the bag, so even after opening it, you don't have to worry about losing the pouch.

Third, these are a much better design than the store bags I have been using. The straps stay on my shoulders much better than the store brands and they just look so much nicer.

I will definitely be ordering some more of these bags to use.

Right now, Tuckerbags is offering 10% off any order. Just use the coupon code "Recycle" at checkout. Check out all the cool designs they have at their website.

Exhausting day of deals

I need to apologize ahead of time, as some of these deals ended tonight. I found out about them at the 11th hour so was not able to share them sooner. Three stores are involved. Here goes: HEB: HEB is known for their meal deals. They offer something that you buy and in turn you get several other items free with in store coupons. This week(ended today) they offered 9 free items when you bought a bone in whole or half ham or beef brisket. I opted for the ham so I can turn it in for the Unilever rebate from the 4-5 inserts. The Unilever rebate calls for $40 in Unilever product receipts and you can get a free ham or turkey up to $20. Well, since Randalls is paying me to buy Bertolli pasta sauce, the Unilever receipts are covered.
Tonight, the cheapest ham HEB had left was $28.38. I found a $2 off ham winetag at Kroger that I used and I got these 9 other items free with HEB store coupons: 1 12 pack of rootbeer, 1 can Charro beans, 1 package shredded cheddar cheese, 1 Kraft BBQ sauce, 1 Fresh Express salad, 1 bag Corn chips, 1 2lb bag of Ball Park Franks, and 1 loaf of white bread.
Total spent after coupons $26.22 and will submit for $20 rebate from Unilever. So basically, I got all this for $6.22 + stamp!

Walgreens(These deals are still valid!- Thanks to Mercedes at Common Sense with Money) I got these items in 4 transactions.
Transaction 1:
4 Degree clearance deodorant $1.09 each - .75 c 3-1 RP
2 Dove trial size deod. $.99 each - $1.50/2 c 3-15 RP
1 Chapstick $1.99
- $3.50 RR from prior Colgate deal
.33 spent on W card, got back $6 RR for deodorant and $2 for Chapstick
Transaction 2:
1 Chapstick $1.99
1 Scunci hair elastics $2
1 Colgate max white toothbrush $3.29 - .75 c 3-29 SS
-$6 RR from prior purchase
.57 spent on W card, got back $2 for Chapstick, $2 for Scunci and $3.50 for Colgate tb
Transaction 3:
1 Scunci Elastic $2 - $2 RR from prior chapstick
0 oop, got back $2 for Scunci
Transaction 4:
1 Crest Toothpaste with bonus mouth rinse $4.49 - $4.49 free coupon from prior Bayer monitor purchase (Thanks Maya for the heads up!)
4 Hershey easter candy $1.25 each
6 Dove Trial size deod .99 each - $1.50/2 c 3-15 RP
-$6 (2 $3 prior RR)
.44 oop on gift card, got back $6 for Dove deodorant and will get back $5.50 for Hershey candy rebate # in esc($5 + 10%)
So finally tally for Walgreens:
Total spent: $18.84 (prior RR + gift card + W card)
Total earned: $29 (RR + Gift card)
So up by ~ $10 for the day at WAGS

Finally Kroger. Again, 2 of these deals ended tonight and I found out about them rather late in the day.
3 Johnson baby oil $1.99 each - $3/3 catalina(from buying buddy bars before)
3 Olay 2 bar soaps $3.19 each - $2 c 4-5 P&G - .50 loadable(Thanks Courtneyrtr)
1 McCormick grill mates $1 - $1 c 3-15 RP
- $3 instantly for buying 3 P&G products - $1 prior cat I had
Tax .17
Spent $ 2.21 and got back 3 $1 oynso catalinas for buying the J&J baby oil
so total spent .21 for these items.
(P&G promo ended tonight, but J&J promo and McCormick is still valid)
ETA: Thanks readers for the correction on the McCormick. It is still free but price changed from $1 to .99. Sorry about the confusion.

Free Pet Food at Petsmart

Went out of town to visit family so not much shopping done this weekend. However, coming back into town, I needed to stop in at PetSmart to purchase an aquarium cleaner. I had a $5/$25 coupon and the item I needed was only $12.99. I tried to see if there was anything else I could get free that would help me use the coupon and ultimately lower my cost on the needed supply. When I strolled down the cat food aisle I found this bag of cat food with a try me free peelie attached. This product cost $12.99 so it was perfect to cover the difference in price to help me use my $5/$25 coupon. What was even better, is that there are $5 coupons out right now for Science Diet Nature's Best pet food so this is how my transcation looked:

1 Nature's Best cat food 3 lb bag $12.99
1 Aquarium Gravel cleaner $12.99

Competitor coupon -$5
Nature's Best coupon -$5
Tax $1.32

Total $17.30

According to the rebate, I can send in for purchase price of $12.99 (good on 5lb bag of dry dog food or 3 lb bag of dry cat food at PetSmart only)
That brings my total down to $4.31 for the much needed gravel cleaner.
The really funny part of this whole story is I thought my $5/$25 coupon was for PetSmart (which is on my way home). Turns out my coupon was for Petco! When I handed it over, the cashier didn't say a word and entered it in as competitor coupon. So now I know they take competitor coupons, lol.

Target free bread- Saturday is the last day

I finally made time to take a trip to target to pick up the free bread I kept reading about on other blogs and websites. When I went, the store only had 3 out on the shelves. I asked the bakery if they had anymore and they informed me they were frozen and it would take 20 minutes for them to warm them up and package them for me to purchase. I asked her if she HAD to warm them up, as I was wanting to take them home and freeze them anyway so I would much prefer to get them frozen. "No problem, just tell me how many you want." was her response.

Now I have enough to have some yummy sandwiches for lunch for work. Hurry, because the coupon expires tommorrow. They had Ciabatta, Sourdough and a whole grain variety of these mini artisan loaves. Just go to HCW to print the coupons for $1 off and they will auto-adjust down to the sale price of .84. Keep in mind, the wording on the coupon states one per transaction, so you might be checking out for awhile.

Great deal on printer paper at Staples

I was a little disappointed that I was going to be out of town this weekend with no Randalls or Kroger within driving range, but thanks to Jenny at SouthernSavers, I still was able to get a good deal. What is even better, this deal is at Staples, which I typically do not have access to.

If you are looking for paper to print all those coupons, then you need to head to Staples and look for these packages. They are currently on sale for $6.99 BUT Staples is offering a $5.99 rebate on each ream you buy NO LIMIT! If you have a local competitor coupon(Office Max, Office Depot), you can use that to bring down your cost even more and even get paid to purchase the paper. I had a home mailer for $10/50 from Office Depot so I purchased 8 packages
8 * $ 6.99 = 55.92
-10/50 = 45.92
tax of 3.79 = $49.71

After my receipt printed, the rebate form and a rebate receipt printed. I can even submit the rebate online, so no need to waste a stamp.
I will be getting $47.92 back on the rebate, making my cost only $ 1.79 for all 8 reams.
I did also use a Staples Reward card which earns $4.59 (10%) back on this purchase. I am not sure if I will have the min. of $10 rewards earned by the end of the quarter to get this though. However, those of you with Staples more readily available can also take in empty ink cartridges to be recycled and they will add $3 on your Staples rewards for each cartridge. Just two cartridges and 8 reams of paper should earn you the $10 Reward, payable at the end of the quarter(June).
Thanks again to Jenny for this GREAT deal!

CVS money maker deal

Thank you goes to shan2321 at HCW for this deal!
For the month of April, CVS has a $4 ecb promo on the Natural Dentist mouth rinse(limit 3 per card) These are everyday priced at $6.99 at CVS and you can get a $2 coupon by going to the manufacturer's website (these come up as pdf coupons, so you can print as many as you want)
Purchase two @ $6.99 - $2 coupons each and your oop will be = $ 9.98.
You will get $8 back in ECB(extra care bucks) so that brings cost down to $1.98.
Then if you follow this link, you can print a rebate form for $10 back when you buy two of these mouth rinse products! With the rebate, this turns into a profit of ~ $8!
*Heads up, I purchased these in one transaction and the second coupon beeped (even though it doesn't have an exclusion printed on it) My cashier pushed it through, but it might be easier to ring these up separate. Rebate form clearly states multiple receipts can be used

Mobistories

My friend Erin was given an opportunity to try some online books for free at Mobistories. Since my kids fit the age categories a little better, she gave me the chance to try these stories out on my 4 and 2 year old.

I got to download 4 story books so I chose 2 books from the 1-6 age category and 2 from the 4-8 category. The girls LOVED them. We read them stories every night before bedtime so this was a special treat. The picture above shows Sara watching the storybook titled "When Can I Roar?" With Mobistories you have the opportunity to open up the book full screen and it shows as the pages turn. I think this is a really neat concept and shows the advancement of the digital age. This certainly brought back memories of my childhood and reading books on record/tape. I think Mobistories has taken from this concept and definitely improved upon it!

I definitely recommend this book for your younger children and "Good Mousekeeping" for the 4-8 kiddos. The latter is a very cute book that made Zoey laugh and she continues to ask to read it from time to time.
