CVS - Another Deal you need to prepare for next week - Greeting cards!

Another deal I noticed in next weeks CVS ad is for American Greeting Cards.
$3 in ECBs wyb 3 cards (excludes boxed and clearanced cards) Limit 1 per household

You can print this manufacturer IP for $2 off 2 cards (excludes .99 cards)
and this CVS coupon for $2/3 cards, no exclusions on value of card.

There are a couple ways you can run this scenario:

1. NO coupons
buy 3 .99* cards, get $3 ECB = .03 profit
Unless you don't have a printer, silly to do this when you can do scenario 2
*.99 cards have worked on this promo in the past, no guarantees it will continue to work until tested and confirmed

2. Buy 3 .99 cards
Used $2/3 CVS coupon, pay $.97 get $3 = $2.03 profit

3. Buy 3 cards for $1.99 each ($1.49 would be better but I can never find that value at my store?)
Use $2/3 CVS coupon
Use $2/2 manuf. coupon
Pay $1.97 get $3 ECB = profit of $1.03

Your choice of scenarios I guess will depend on how badly you need cards and how picky you are with the selection :D (trying to use a $4/20 also may sway your choice!)

On CVS coupon site, there is also a $3/3 Hallmark card. Will that one work too? Thanks!

Anon, since the deal is for American Greetings, the Hallmark coupon will not work for this deal, but might be a good coupon for a future deal at SAfeway (Randalls) :D

it won't work at Randall's cause the fine print is "valid only with the purchase of three Hallmark cards at participating CVS stores"

I cannot print at work so was not aware of the fine print, so if it states that then no you cannot use it at Randalls and it won't help with the CVS deal because it is a different brand, sorry anon.
