Sunday Coupon Preview - Possible 4 inserts?

Looks like we might be getting up to four inserts this weekend.
To see the preview you can go here.

According to the preview, there will be 1 red plum, 1 smart source, 1 P&G insert and possibly 1 Pepsi/Frito Lay insert.

The P&G insert will definitely come in handy for the ongoing Buy $30 get $10 back promo at HEB.  Even better, it appears we will be getting another P&G rebate for $10 back when you spend $50 on Venus, Clairol, Olay, Secret, Cover Girl, Herbal Essences, Aussie, Head & Shoulders, Pantene, Safeguard, Ivory, Crest 3D White, Always or Tampax.  Receipts between 4/29-6/15 so for those that get the early edition of the paper, you might want to wait until Sunday to start buying your qualifying purchases.

HEB -A few unadvertised deals

If you are in need of some breakfast sausage you might want to check your local HEB for this hidden deal!  Jimmy Dean is on sale for 5/$5!  Not sure if they will offer rainchecks if it is not in the ad, but it is certainly worth a try.

*Nicole, our store was not marked just to save you a trip.

These Rubbermaid Premier are on clearance for $2.13 with a $1 off YQ making it $1.13.

This is an everyday price, but we have been so low on refried beans.
There is a $1/2 insert for these Casa Fiesta in 4-15 RP, making these .28 a can.

Also, these were advertised but I missed them.
There is a $3 off 3 coupon good for ALL varieties of HEB cereal.  This coupon will make many varieties of HEB cereal just $1 a box!

And, Juicy Juice 8packs are 2/$3 with a YQ for buy 2get 1 free.  This makes the juice boxes just $1 an 8 pack.

Clearance find: Iams Dog Food at HEB

While walking HEB to get pricing for the P&G deal, I noticed these 15.5 lb bags of Iams dog food.  There are also $2 YQs right there next to them.  I thought I would test them out for the buy $30 get $10 oynso catalina.

Here is the scenario I did:

3 Iams dog food $8.93 each
2 Cover Girl single eye shadow $2.24 each
=$31.27
-3 $3* Iams coupons
-2 $1.25 B yq for Cover Girl
-2 $1 Cover Girl insert 4-1 P&G
=$17.77

Earned $10 oynso.  So $7.77 for 46.5 lbs = .17/lb

*I had some $3 coupons from the trial size bags I got for free at Target several months ago :D
(If you don't see any of these bags on the shelf, don't forget to check your store risers!

HEB deals - April 25th - May 1st

Prices are from my store ad.

Please remember Heb has regional ads and they can vary greatly in meat and produce prices, so please go online and view your local zip code to confirm you have the same prices as my ad. I have noticed a variance in stores just 3 miles apart.
Also note, HEB accepts coupons at face value. You can review their coupon policy here.
Something to note on my matchups.  I will label the store coupons with an M or a B once I am aware which they are.  B store coupons can be combined with paper coupons for added savings, M store coupons cannot.

P&G PROMOTION
Looks like another 2 week P&G promo is starting up tomorrow.  Same wording as last time.  Limit 1 $10 reward per household per day.  Earn reward between 4/25-5/8 and spend between 5/9-5/22 on another $30 purchase.

Many items listed in ad with in store coupons.  I will find out if these are B's or M's tomorrow and do a separate post for the matchups I see and pricing.

This will be an interesting promo since we have the old P&G coupons expiring Monday and will get new ones this weekend.  That only gives about 2 days overlap on both P&G inserts being active.
More details to come tomorrow when I get some prices and check for other unadvertised specials in the store.

Possible Money Maker - Carefree/Stayfree at Target

I stopped in Target today to check out the dresses on sale and I stumbled across these tags on the feminine hygiene products.

Sorry for the blurry shot but basically you buy 3 participating items and get a $5 Target gift card.
You can imagine my excitement when I remembered spotting peelies just last week for $5 back when you buy 2 OB, Carefree or Stayfree.

So, you can mix and match or just get one variety you want.

Deal Idea #1:
3 Carefree @ $2.97 = $8.91

=$5.91 and earn a $5 Target gift card
Then submit for $5 mail in rebate with purchase of 2 in a single transaction
Profit of $4.09 :D

Deal Idea #2:

Chick Fil A - New Katy Location, Free food for first 100!

Get ready KATY! There is a new Chick-Fil-A coming to town and if you can be one of the first 100 adults(18 and up) in line, you can score yourself free Chick Fil A for 1 year!!!! That is a free combo meal a week for 52 weeks :D Wish I didn't have to be at work at 6:30 am across town or you might see me in line.

Here is part of an excerpt from the press release:
Forty-five years after the first Chick-fil-A® restaurant opened in an Atlanta mall, pioneering mall food courts and introducing its signature boneless-breast-of-chicken sandwich, the chain will celebrate the opening of its newest stand-alone restaurant in Katy on April 26 by giving away a free year’s supply of Chick-fil-A to the first 100 adults in line grand opening morning. Chick-fil-A’s “First 100 Celebration” quickly became a hallmark of each grand opening when the chain first held the event in Arizona in 2003. More than 18 hours before the restaurant opened, the first person arrived and asked where to get in line. Since then, the chain has given away more than $16 million in free food at almost 600 grand openings. The parking lot parties attract Chick-fil-A’s loyal customers who come from around the block and across the country equipped with couches, TVs, computers, tents and other gear. Even extreme weather conditions do not dampen the enthusiasm of the participants who often arrive more than 24 hours in advance. The latest Chick-fil-A First 100 celebration will occur at 25601 Nelson Way where the chain will award a one-year supply of free Chick-fil-A® Meals (52 certificates) to each of the first 100 adults in line, ages 18 and older with identification – which is a total of more than $26,000 in free food. The line officially opens at 6 a.m., Wednesday, April 25, with the free meal cards being awarded Thursday, April 26, sometime between 6 a.m. and 6:10 a.m. The restaurant will open for business immediately thereafter at 6:00 a.m. If there are more than 100 people by 6 a.m. on Wednesday, April 25, all 100 spots will be determined by raffle. For complete rules, see http://www.chick-fil-a.com/Locations/First-100. Chick-fil-A’s overall growth will continue in 2012 with the projected addition of 79 stand-alone, two malls and 15 licensed locations. Seven of which will open in Greater Houston locations this year including restaurants in Willis, Deer Park and Houston in the coming months. Opening her first Chick-fil-A restaurant, Cynthia Whitley brings over 17 years’ experience from an internationally recognized organization. Cynthia is the fourth female franchised operator in Greater Houston and will open the 53rd local location. Whitely is a graduate of Texas A&M University, where she received a bachelor’s degree in accounting. Cynthia is a Houston resident and is eager to join the Katy community. “Chick-fil-A has come a long way since Truett opened that first tiny Chick-fil-A restaurant in an Atlanta mall 45 years ago, but one thing has remained constant – our focus on providing top quality food in a friendly neighborhood environment,” said Whitley. “My team members and I share that same commitment at our new Katy Mills restaurant and can’t wait to welcome and serve our new guests.” The new Katy Mills Chick-fil-A seats 96 with additional outdoor seating and has warm colors and wood accents and convenient, award-winning drive-thru service. The new restaurant is open Monday through Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 10 p.m., serving a full breakfast menu until 10:30 a.m. Chick-fil-A offers a completely trans fat-free menu and was among the first national fast-food restaurant chains to do so. In January the chain added grilled Chick-fil-A Chicken Nuggets as a Kids’ Meal option which, when paired with a fresh fruit cup or Buddy Fruits® Pure Blended Fruit To Go applesauce, is one of the most nutritious children’s meal combinations offered among any major fast-food chain.

GiveLitter - Only Costs you a minute please Take that minute :D

Any one that has read my blog for any amount of time should know I am a cat cat cat cat person!  I love cats, I have had a cat my WHOLE life except for the 9 months I lived in a dorm in college.  I convinced my once fiance (now husband) to adopt cats even.  I love their independence but the occasional affection they show.  Low maintenance (compared to dogs) yet serenity when petting them :D

Worlds Best Cat Litter is giving 1 lb of cat litter to these worthy causes for every click you make. Every day you click to the partitcating organizations they get 1 lb of free litter to their shelter! (do you have cats?? I do! I buy a 28 lb and it might last 3 litter changes and that is not changing it daily, which I know shelters change way more!!!!)  Seriously YOU have NO idea how quickly these shelters can burn through litter depending on the number of kennels and the turnaround.  If you could PLEASE take a minute from each day to just check in and vote to give your 1 lb of litter, trust me it will be appreciated!!!

Thanks for the reminder MOM and Julia Coolia!

Food Town has a few good deals this week. Find out if you are close to one here.
If you are you can either shop in store, or take your ad to Walmart to price match. It typically just pick the stuff up at Walmart because the store closest to me is not very coupon friendly.

Free Bayer Advanced at Kroger - YMMV

When I was in Kroger the other day killing time for my free Papa John's pizza to be ready, I noticed the Bayer Advanced is on closeout for $1.99.  Combine that closeout price with this $2 IP to get it FREE! (ymmv as to whether your store has this still in stock, I noticed the tag at the Kroger at Hwy 6 and W Airport in Sugar Land :D)

CVS - Another Deal you need to prepare for next week - Greeting cards!

Another deal I noticed in next weeks CVS ad is for American Greeting Cards.
$3 in ECBs wyb 3 cards (excludes boxed and clearanced cards) Limit 1 per household

You can print this manufacturer IP for $2 off 2 cards (excludes .99 cards)
and this CVS coupon for $2/3 cards, no exclusions on value of card.

There are a couple ways you can run this scenario:

1. NO coupons
buy 3 .99* cards, get $3 ECB = .03 profit
Unless you don't have a printer, silly to do this when you can do scenario 2
*.99 cards have worked on this promo in the past, no guarantees it will continue to work until tested and confirmed

2. Buy 3 .99 cards
Used $2/3 CVS coupon, pay $.97 get $3 = $2.03 profit

3. Buy 3 cards for $1.99 each ($1.49 would be better but I can never find that value at my store?)
Use $2/3 CVS coupon
Use $2/2 manuf. coupon
Pay $1.97 get $3 ECB = profit of $1.03

Your choice of scenarios I guess will depend on how badly you need cards and how picky you are with the selection :D (trying to use a $4/20 also may sway your choice!)

Blink Tears - $1 MM at CVS next week, print IP now while available

I got next weeks CVS ad in the mail today and the Blink is free after ECBS next week. You should probably go here and print the $1 off coupon now while available to turn this into a $1 money maker. Sometimes these coupons disappear before the sale, so I am printing mine tonight!
Limit on ECBS is one per household.

I LOVE Target 90% off Sale!!!!

One of my FAVORITE things about Target is their 90% clearance on holiday merchandise.  So many times they have TONS of stuff that is 90% off that you will still find on the regular shelf marked at full price.  This was all purchased at 1 store over the past two days.  I admit, it takes time to find some of this and sometimes it is just a matter of walking the aisles looking for stuff that MIGHT look Holiday-ish (that is how I found he little toddler cup and the Hello Kitty stuff!)  Everything but the socks, Annies and cookie molds was NOT found in the Easter section :D

I suggest you dig dig dig for the items you are interested in (you can click the picture to expand it :D)
Thanks Imm and the Jenns for keeping me up to date on 90% off day :D

Have you liked me yet on facebook?  If so, you should be getting up to the minute pictures as I find clearance.
