Cheap pet food today at Kroger!

I went to Kroger today at lunch to do one more round of the Daytona deal before it ended and thanks to Amniculus on HCW I went to check out the pet food aisle and scored a GREAT deal.
I got the following
3 Totinos pizza rolls $1.25 each - .35 tripled - .30 for Daytona deal = -.30
2 Pillsbury grands $1.27 each - .25 tripled - .30 for Daytona deal = .22 each
5 BC snacks $1.79 - 3 .50/1 doubled for stickerz - 1 .50/2 doubled - .30 each for Daytona = 3.45(earns a $3.50 oynso catalina)
3 Purina one canned dog food $1.39 each - Free coupons = free
2 Iams 4 lb dog food and 1 Iams 3.5lb cat food $5.29 each - $5 catalina on each = 0.87
Also used a $3.50 catalina that took off .46 in tax(negative since we are not taxed on food)
Grand total : $0.50!

Do you know the details on the Iams cat. How long it is available?

what is stickerz?

The shelf tag on the iams said 2-17, sorry.
Stickerz are the name of the Betty Crocker fruit snacks that the .50/1 coupons are for(far right in the picture)

Have you ever tried to use a RR from Walgreens at another store in your area like Randalls, CVS or Krogers? Since the RR is like a manufacturer coupon, would the register beep if a cashier scanned it?

Anon, I have asked at several stores about this since they are technically manufacturer coupons and I had a few store managers actually try and they beeped. Since the register would not accept them, they stated I could not use them so I did not push the issue since they do state other stores names on the coupons.

I have noticed that some people buy and trade box tops for education. I know that for each one the school turns in they receive 10 cents but I am surprised that people are willing to pay 5 cents a piece for them. Is there another use of these box tops that I don't know about?

Anon, there is no other use for btfe, however many schools hold competitions. Sometimes the class with the most wins a party and othertimes, the child with the most wins some predetermined prize. People purchase them in hopes they can help their child win. AND I have to say, it is a great cause to save these, my kiddos little school has already made over $200 collecting these!

Frequently when shopping at Kroger, the Catalina machines are not working. Is there any way to get the coupons while at the store, service desk maybe. How do you know what you should get and the onyso also.

Yes blessedone, you can go to the service desk and sometimes they can be helpful. I learn about the catalinas to expect from shelf tags in the store, from promotional catalinas that print ahead of a new promo or from http://www.hotcouponworld.com/forums/kroger-catalina-deals-post-them-here/
