Though out the years that I have followed your blog, you have always taught me that if they are out of a product to ask for a raincheck, well at Kroger on Grandparkway and Highland Knolls, I was told that I can only a raincheck on things that are in the sales ad. The product that I was asking for was one that was included in mega 5 but just not advertised. Is this true?
Anon, unfortunately there is a not a clearly written policy for the rainchecks at Kroger and while typically rainchecks are supposed to be for advertised items I did bring up this issue at one of the blogger events with them I attended. The real reason I brought it up is that while the printed ad might be 6-8 pages there are additional advertised items in the online ad, usually at least 2 pages longer than the printed ad. All I got back was that they "should" allow the raincheck but I learned it is YMMV(your mileage may vary) as to whether the store will allow for the raincheck
Might I ask what item you were attempting to get the raincheck on? I have occasionally had success snapping a picture of the mega ad tag and talking them into one given that the MEGA is advertised and thus all items should be considered advertised.
Hope this helps and good look (perhaps if not too much effort try the Mason, West Parkway store, sometimes they seem nicer to me)
Funny, you say that, I snapped a pic and attemted to show her, but she did not even glance. It was the Dove shampoo for 2.17 Mega 5 and the Dove men's haircare 2.49 with Mega 5.
