It Pays to Get on the Mailing List

I was on my lunch hour at one of my favorite fast food joints when they asked if I would like to be placed on the mailing list. I added my name and today I am certainly glad I did.

Today in my mail I received a Christmas card from Raising Cane's chicken fingers and inside they included a gift card for $5. I even recognize the picture of the two employees that work the drive thru at my store. It really does pay to get put on those mailing lists!

I was unaware of a Cane's here in Houston or Katy. My girls who are at Texas A&M have taken me there in College Station. I loved it! Where is it in the Katy /Houston area.

Actually Beth, if your kids are in College Station, they probably took you to LAYNES Soon to be World Famous Chicken Fingers. I love that place! Unfortunately, Layne's has not franchised out and so Raising Cane's is as close to LAYNES as I can get daily without driving 2 hours, lol. The sauce is a little sweeter than Layne's but still good. You can go here for locations in Houston http://www.raisingcanes.com/ and Gig Em Aggies!

Correction: you might have gone to Cane's in CS. They have a location 2 buildings down from the original Layne's. Both restaurants are the same concept just slight variations in the sauces.

After thinking about it , you are right . I was Laynes. They also have a Canes though. My daughters like both but they say they are so similar and Laynes is cheaper. It is $5 and that includes tax and all for the chicken and fries basket. Thanks for the link. I'll see where we can go here. G

The start up owner of Raising Canes was on the new FOX show Secret Millionaire last week. He has a neat story, he started his business from scratch and it began with a project he had to do while in college. He said he scored low on the project because he was told by his professor his concept would never work. The family seemed to be really nice. They gave away several hundreds of thousands of dollars away to local charaties in the New Orleans area on the show. They are from Baton Rouge and the owner went to LSU. His wife owned a Mcdonald's franchise and sold it, they are now worth over 60 million dollars! I'm not from around the Texas area, I just found your site on Jane4girls
