Free Pet food from Natura

Natura's natural pet foods is currently offering a coupon for a free bag of pet food (5-6 lb bag).  You need to fill out the online form and choose the clinic/store you wish to pick up the food(a listing comes up for you to choose the location you like, no Petsmart or Petco's on the list - at least for me).
Once you submit, you should get a confirmation screen letting you know they will mail you the coupon in 10 days.  How easy is that?  Hurry though as the website says while supplies last.

Give Hope P&G Giveaway - Fighting for the Tatas

EXPIRED!Discount Deal on Texas Renaissance Festival Tickets at Timewise Shell Stations

My husband actually found this deal (I am so proud of him).  I don't think this is going on at all Shell gas stations but it was listed at 3 of the 4 stores I have been at recently.  The store should be able to tell you the details as the 3 that were participating had signs, buttons and were very informative. This is actually a better deal then pre-ordering from the Tex Ren Fest website if you have 2 adults going.

The deal is as follows: Purchase any 3 AMP energy, Starbucks Frappuccino or Rockstar Energy Drinks and get a free adult Renaissance festival ticket, with purchase of an adult ticket at the gate.
The fine print pretty much says they will stamp your receipt and you take this to the will call booth to get your free ticket with purchase of an adult ticket.  Purchase must be made in one transaction.  The cheapest item I found was the small bottles of Starbucks Frappuccino for $1.99.  Directly next to the cold case was a tearpad for .40 these Starbucks.
So, the three Starbucks $1.99 each -.40 each = $4.77 so a little over $5 after tax
Adult tickets at the gate cost $23 + $5 at Shell = $28 for 2 adult tickets or $14 each.

You can't beat that price with Advance Ticket sales unless you went during opening weekend.  I thought this was a pretty sweet deal if you are going to the Renaissance Festival.

UPDATE:  I read the fine print of the poster again and noticed it says Timewise receipts.  By deductive reasoning I googled Timewise and this is the company that owns some convenience stores and gas stations.  So I am willing to bet ALL Timewise locations are doing this promotion. (but not 100% certain).  They are owned by Landmark Industries.  From the Landmark Industries website I found THIS list of Timewise locations. (again I am NOT certain if all are participating in this promotion, but you could call the store near you and inquire)

I hope you have not recycled your paper yet. If you did and didn't look through the Parade insert, RUN to the curb before the truck comes around. Inside was a coupon just like this one.

With this coupon, you can get 2 free 5 x 7 HP photo cards. 
If your paper is long gone, no worries, just go here and print out a coupon.  Only downside is that it requires a trip to Wal*mart to redeem.

Recycling DOES pay

I am asked quite often how many papers I buy. I have to be honest, the answer is ZERO. That is right, I don't even get a home delivery anymore. Lucky for me I have some really good non couponing friends and neighbors that guarantee me anywhere from 5-20 papers a week. I also sometimes hit my local Starbucks or Chick Fil A as they offer free papers for their patrons to read and they are complete with coupons.

After that, there is one more source I sometimes score a decent supply of coupons.
Recycle bins. I don't always go weekly, but I try to. I recycle all junk mail, cardboard boxes, and other paper. As I am tossing my recyclables in I take a peek. Sometimes it pays off, today it REALLY paid off.

This is a picture of what I found in the recycle bin today.  Some of the items on the floorboard is fully wrapped and intact Sunday newspapers.  The other bundles are insert packets typically thrown on lawns during the week.

This is the after shot of my find.  Now I have a fresh pile to take back to the recycle bin and perhaps I will find some more goodies :)

So, where do you get your papers?  What unlikely source have you found for FREE papers?  See, you can save the planet and save some cash all at the same time!

TRU- Good deal on Beauty and the Beast, don't do what I did, lol

I read some really good scenarios for cheap Beauty and the Beast and thought I would try to do even better. Well, it didn't quite work out that way and I should have just deleted an item and not tried to use my coupon and be done with it, but I was not on top of my game last night. I am posting this to show you that even I can turn a GREAT deal to just an ok one! First I will post the way I did the deal, then I will post a scenario that you might consider doing.

I received a $10 off $50 coupon in the mail for Toys R Us, so I thought I would try to use that to score some real goodies. Beauty and the Beast Blu Ray/DVD combo is $22.99 through today. Also, if you preorder Toy Story 3, you save $10 on any other Disney Blu-Ray priced $19.99 or higher. AND another promotion gets you a free Belle Magical Tea cart when you spend $25 $40 on Disney Princess merchandise(the Beauty and the Beast movie counts)

Ok, so I knew my total had to be $50 AFTER all the promos came off and I had the total straight at $50.97(before tax) and my coupon said I didn't have enough. We determined the $5 you pay to reserve Toy Story 3 does not count toward the coupon. This is where I went wrong

2 Toy Story 3 preorders $10
2 Beauty and the Beast $22.99 each - $10 each for preordering TS3 = 25.98
1 Belle Magical Cart $24.99 - $24.99 promo = FREE
1 Alice in Wonderland $14.99 (have to have my Johnny fix and this was to boost myself above the $50 mark)
=$50.97 and I was hoping to get $10 off for $10/50, then I had 2 $10 Ips for Beauty and the Beast. My total at this point WOULD have been $20.97 for 2 Beauty and the Beast, 1 Alice in Wonderland dvd,2 prebuys of TS3 and the free cart.
BUT, I threw in Iron Man on DVD for $16.99 to use my $10 coupon.
I ended up paying $40.56 after tax.
I look at that as ~ $10 a movie with a bonus of 2 prebuys and a toy valued at $25

Ok, so this is my suggestion for you. I hear some people near 1960 got a $5 off $25 in their Chronicle because they just reopened the Toys R Us around you. If you do this deal, you will totally soore well.

Prebuy 2 Toy Story 3 $10 (will not count for your $5/25 coupon)
Buy 2 Beauty and the Beast $22.99 - $10 for prebuy promo = $25.98 (yay, enough for your coupon)
1 Belles magical cart $24.99 - $24.99 = FREE
Hand over your $5 off $25 first, then your 2 $10 Ips for Beauty and the Beast
$10 + $25.98 - $5/25 - $20 = $10.98!!!!!
So you will only pay $10.98 for 2 copies of Beauty and the Beast(give one as a gift) and 2 prebuys of Toy story 3. The tea cart is just a bonus. That is $6 each for a Blu Ray/DVD combo WOW!!!!

Even if you don't have the $5 coupon, your price is only $15.98.

Now, you might be saying, but I don't want Toy Story 3 and how much MORE is it going to cost me when it comes in. To this I answer, WHO CARES? If you don't want it, preorder ANYWAY and just don't pick it up when it comes in. Think about it, they are giving you $10 off your Beauty and the Beast purchase for paying $5 up front for TS3. So you are basically paying $5 for a $10 coupon, sounds like a winner to me!
