A Slice of Life - My Family Portrait

My sister has been pestering me for a long time to get a family picture taken for my living room. Sadly, I didn't have one with my youngest daughter Sara (now 3) in the picture, I know BAD MOMMY. Luckily, I met a WONDERFUL photographer who also happens to be a couponer and blogger, Kim. She got started couponing in February, which gave me a chance to trade goods from my stockpile for a photo session and prints. She took so many GREAT pictures of me and my family, I am having a really difficult time deciding which ones to purchase. The family picture shown above is one that my whole family has certainly enjoyed. My MIL actually said this is the first picture she has seen my youngest smile in, she is such a serious little girl.

I went to Randalls yesterday to pick up a few more boxes of Corn Flakes before the coupons expire on the 20th and I was greated with boxes of Kelloggs Special K with PEELIES!!!! Not only that, but each box was specially marked with a Jeans promotion: Get a $10 voucher toward the purchase of a new pair of jeans when you submit 5 Special K Tokens and mail in form found inside the box. I was so excited about this, I went to two stores to purchase enough for each of the 4 households I shop for. I also now have two receipts to send in for the $10 Kelloggs Calendar rebate I have been mentioning(I know there are still traders on HCW with these forms)

So for $22.06 oop, I got back $1 oynso, will get $20 rebate and 4 $10 Jean vouchers
$22.06 - $1 - $20 + $2.64(cost of 6 stamps)
= $3.70 for all that is pictured above and $40 off 4 pair of jeans

I don't remember the day the Target coupon became available, but it was BEFORE their new coupon printing system where you can only print 2 coupons per computer. Anyway, Target had a $1 off any Swiss Miss 10 count cocoa coupon available. I printed and saved that coupon and I am soooooooo glad I did. Target has the Swiss Miss on rollback for $.97 and with the printable Target coupon it makes is FREE!!!!!!!

That is where subscribing to the free newsletter by Home Made Simple comes into play. They are well known for offering periodical coupon booklets that have some pretty good coupons. Cellfire has reloaded 12-15-2009

New 2 week period for Cellfire and they decided to mix it up a bit. You can still get your Betty Crocker, Pillsbury and Huggies coupons you have come to expect, but they have added some NEW offers we have not seen before. Biore, John Frieda and Nestle to name a few.
Check them out, you have two weeks to load the new Cellfire coupons, but a month to use them.

If you are just starting out, I would suggest loading up all the Cellfire coupons. BE CAREFUL when loading. You can only load cellfire to one card or the other at a time. EX: if you load the Betty Crocker potatoes to your Safeway card first, it will not be available to load to Kroger UNTIL you use it at Safeway.

I would love to hear comments from my readers on the deals they have been finding combining the loadables at Safeway(Randalls, Tom Thumb)

Today is the last day to load your Cellfire coupons for this cycle. You will still have 2 weeks to use them if you get them loaded today. I recommend loading them to your Safeway(Randalls, Tom Thumb) card. Tommorrow they are bound to have some duplicates to make some groceries free or really really cheap.
Don't forget to check Shortcuts before you go, as it appears they have reset some good coupons.
I plan on going today before some of my loadables expire to snag the following deals:

Chex Mix cereal is $1.99 if you buy 3. I have 4 loadables for $1/2 and $3/3 peelie a nice trader sent me so they will pay me ~$1 to buy 3 boxes (there are also $1/2 printable here )
Green Giant boxed veggies are on sale for 1.29, combined with my 4 .50/2 loadables and my .50/2 printable from here they will pay me .42 to buy 2!
Betty Crocker boxed potatoes are $1.69. I have 3 loadables for .40 and the printable for .40 from here, so they will pay me .31 to buy 1.
Kotex small liners are .99 in select stores making it free with my $1 loadable
Progresso soup- I need to check the cheapest price, but I have 4 .50/2 loadables so hopefully I can find a deal.

The new coupon list for this weekend's GM and Smart Source coupon insert is out. For those with limited access to printables, this is a good week to pick up a few papers, especially for those General Mills products since Cellfire will be resetting Tuesday. There will also be a RedPlum insert but that list is not published yet.

Preparing for next week! Cheap/free Corn Flakes

I really have not done much shopping lately, so my posts have been a bit scattered lately. As the end of the year approaches, I really just don't need much in the way of groceries, so I have just been using RR to get eggs, bread etc. I have been using the few ECBS I have to get milk and otherwise, have just done a few trips here and there.
Anyway, I was reading a little ahead(something I don't do too often this time of year because I am so busy with other things) and I saw that Kellogg's Corn Flakes will be on sale next week for $.99 a box when you buy 4 at Randalls. Well, lucky for us, there are really good printables for these right now. You might want to go here and here and print in case they reach their limit, or they take them down. Right now both sites have a printable for $1.50/2 boxes. They also both have a printable for $1.50 off your favorite store brand coffee wyb 3 boxes.
According to the ad, the limit on the Corn Flakes is 20. Depending on how many computers you have, this could turn into a very VERY good deal. (If you don't have but one computer, there are also $1.50/3 boxes of cereal coupons on both sites)
I plan on doing the following(ad says you must buy 4, not increments of 4):
10 boxes Kelloggs Corn Flakes .99 each = $9.90
- 5 coupons $1.50/2 boxes = - $7.50
Total cost $2.40
I am then eligible to send in for the $10 Kellogg's Calendar of savings rebate(limit 8 per household-if you can't find these forms, I know there are still traders on HCW that have these)

Profit of $7.60! I might use the 3 $1.50 off store brand coffee wyb 3 cereals if I can find a cheap enough bag of Safeway coffee(not sure if they sell 1 lb bags?)

Also, before I go, I will be sure to check out Cellfire as they will reset on Tuesday and I might be able to score more freebies with loadables and printables combined.

I am not sure if all Chick-Fil-A stores are participating in this, but I just received an email from Chick-Fil-A in Sugar Land that has these 12 days of Christmas list of offers! Most do require a purchase, but some look like a pretty good deal to me!
Looks like Dec 16 and 22nd you can get free coffee during breakfast hours with no other purchase required. Also, they will have Santa Cow and his elves on the 14th for pictures and the 21st Santa will be there!
Might be worth checking your local store for similar offers.

Kroger Loadable Coupon site

I may have already mentioned this, but want to remind everyone of this great site Kroger has to load coupons directly to your Kroger card. If you go here you can set up your account and load up to 100 coupons at a time to your Kroger card.
There are three things I really like about this loadable site:

1. It has many Unilever products listed which the other loadable sites don't have.

2. If you decide you don't want a coupon on your card, you can remove it from your card without having to actually spend it!

3. This site is directly through Kroger, so if there are problems, you should be able to get help from Kroger Customer Support

The Kroger ad that starts tommorrow is going to have some of these items on sale, so I suggest you go and load your card tonight so you can put your list together of deals.

They ask what toys you have, so they can provide ideas and activities to inspire learning for your children. It is super easy to sign up(took me less than 5 minutes) and at the end you click on the provided link to have them mail you the book! Super easy and who doesn't love books!
