HEB - No More Stack and Texans shunned

So doomsday has arrived for us HEB shoppers!
As I posted here, HEB's coupon policy has changed to no longer allow the stacking of their Yellow "B" coupons (YBQ) with manufacturers coupons.

And what about that promise of a future of digital coupons to replace the stack?
Well, unless you live in the Bryan/College Station area, there is currently NO digital coupon program for you.  There are 4 stores in Bryan/College Station.  HEB's website boasts having more than 340 stores servicing Texas and Mexico yet only those 4 stores in BCS get to start using this new digital program???
So for you BCS readers, you can go here to sign up for the program with ONE huge catch!
You have to have a mobile phone that has SMS text messaging capabilities to even sign up.  Upon sign up you ahve to provide your mobile phone number and they will text you to opt in.  Without texting, you are out of luck.

So what coupons are you missing from not being the BCS area?  Other than a $5 off $50 grocery purchase loadable, all the rest of the coupons can be found on coupons.com - Digiorno b2g1 free sound familiar; $.75 Multi Grain Cheerios?  Hmmm, sounds exciting huh?

Upon sign up, you can also opt in for their texting deals (no more than 2 a month a week*)
*Interesting, when you sign up the website says no more than 2 a month but the text confirmation says no more than two a week!  Already a problem getting their story straight, hmmm
According to their FAQ on this option:
What are Digital Coupons text offers?

Answer:
Digital Coupon text offers are exclusive offers that you will receive by text message sent directly to your mobile phone number. These offers are redeemable at checkout by entering your 10-digit mobile phone number and 4-digit PIN at the payment terminal. You will not be able to view these offers on your My Coupon List online.

Hmm, so you have to HOPE if they DON'T come off that your HEB will accept the text message as proof you should get the offer?

Feel free to share you opinions with me here on the blog or on the HEB facebook page.

Personally, I feel shunned by a store that is proud to be Texan yet rolled out this new program to 4 of over 340 stores and left everyone else missing the stack with NOTHING to show for it!

You can find HEBs new coupon policy here and their FAQ on this new policy here.

RecycleBank - 30 points for learning about aluminum recycling

RecycleBank has added a new 6 question quiz that will earn you 30 points.
Nonmembers go here first to sign up, it is free
Members click here for a direct link to the quiz

It seems I only log into Recyclebank when I want to print a $5 off $50 Randalls coupon.  Planning a big  trip tomorrow to earn $0.30 off my gas purchase so taking a few quick quizzes to earn some fast points.
The Randalls coupon only costs 50 points and it is a bricks coupon so you can print twice.

There were enough new earnings from reading and taking quizzes that I earned 60 points tonight and only used 50 for my Randalls coupons :D

Walgreens - Today only HOT Double dip for cheap chips!

My friend just let me in on an awesome deal to get my little ones chips for cheap cheap cheap!  How does $0.62 a bag sound after points and sale?

So Walgreens this week has Doritos, Tostitos and Lays (9-13 oz) buy 1 get 1 free and earn 3,000 points (~$3) when you buy $15 or more.
Next weeks ad has the chips on sale for $1.99/bag and the buy $15 or more get 3,000 points.
Well, if you store has changed over the pricing to activate the new ad, you get an awesome double dip:

16 bags of chips @ 1.99 card pricing = $31.84
- 8 bogo chips - $15.92
=$15.92 oop and earn 6,000 reward points(~$6)
After points, it is like spending $9.92 for 16 bags or $0.62 a bag!

Woot, we are ready for Super Bowl now!

Thanks SD and Ivonne.

Kroger - Better than Free Energizer Batteries - YMMV

Who wants to get paid to buy batteries (in a round a bout sort of way, anyway).

Energizer batteries are $2.99 when you buy 10 participating items on the mega sale at Kroger.  If you can find packs like the one pictured above, you are in luck.
That little yellow card inside the batteries has a code toward their Utility cash promo.  With as few as two codes, you can earn a credit off your utility bill.  With 10 codes you can earn the full $25 credit.

If you have enough coupons, you can do the following:
Purchase 10 packs of these specially marked packages @ $2.99 = $29.90
-10 $1 coupons from 1/6 Smart Source insert
=$19.90 oop cost

Enter your codes(will need them all at one time, as well as your utility bill account number) at this website and you will earn a $25 on your utility bill, making you a small profit of $5.10.
The limit is 2 rewards per household, so you can do this twice :D

Enjoy!
*Note, it becomes a money maker with as few as 5 codes ($0.05) but the max 10 is the best money making option.

HEB - Reader Spotlight - small MM on Cover Girl

I am not a big time blog my any means but I love that I have faithful readers that come back day after day to see if I have anything good to post.  Even better, on occasion I get a picture of a deal that has been found from a reader that is pretty awesome that they choose to share.
This picture comes from reader Ginger.  Seems her HEB has some Cover Girl on clearance that makes for a nice overage deal on the last week HEB is allowing us to stack yellow B coupons with manufacturer coupons (read about the changes here)

The deal for her played out like this:
2 $2 Covergirl pencils $4
-$3/2 insert
-2 $1 yellow B coupons
$1 overage for each two

If your store does not have clearance Cover Girl, I know that in Houston the single eye shadow is everyday priced $2.24 which will still allow for a small amount of overage :D

Thanks Ginger for the great picture and deal.

Super Quick Giveaway- Ends Friday!

I am working on the advanced post of the mega sale and noticed I have some Activia coupons that are great for this sale, but the hubs and I have gone Paleo and thus yogurt is out. Not wanting these coupons to expire AND the fact that postage is going up Sunday, I need to get rid of coupons (and .44 cent stamps)
If you want 10 Activia coupons for this mega sale, just leave a comment on this post.  Please be sure to leave contact information as this contest will end Friday afternoon and I will need an address by first thing Saturday to get these out before I have to go buy $0.01 stamps!

Good luck!

High Value Printable - Carnation Essentials Breakfast

I know quite a few moms that buy this regularly just to get something into their kiddos!  One coupon bud is always asking me for my insert coupons when they come out for her pixie picky eater.  If you use this regularly, you will definitely want to print this $2.50/2 coupon here.
Even better!  There are currently 2 ibotta offers that can score you another $1 off 2 different products for a total savings of $3.50 on 2 products.
Also, after printing the $2.50/2, you will get an offer to sign up for their breakfast club with a promise of $1 coupon.

Thanks Debbie and Misty.

Saving Star - New coupons added

SavingStar has a snuck in some new coupons mid month on us. (if you participate in Upromise, they are there too)

I love that I can just load up everything and forget about them and earn.   You earn by purchasing the items at CVS or Kroger (and Randalls for you Upromise loaders!) and after loading, you don't have to do a thing.
(you can read more on SavingStar here)
(you can read more on Upromise here)

I load them ALL because unlike other loadables, they do not come off at the register but instead get banked in an account.  This will not impact your check out experience.
You might be interested in the following:

Save $5 when you buy $15 worth of Snyder pretzels
Earn $0.55 buying 12 oz Deans Dips
Earn $0.60 buying one LouAna oil
Save 10% when you buy Elmers foam board
Save 3% when you buy any Elmer's glue sticks, school glue or glue all
Save $0.60 when you buy 1 Gold 'n Soft
And for Upromise only:
Save $2 wyb 1 Charmin Ultra Soft or Ultra Strong AND 1 Charmin Freshmates

Kroger - Small MM on cookie dough - YMMV*

This is a clearance find, you so might not find it in every store, but if you do, it is a small money maker.

Before you go, load the $1/2 SavingStar loadable
If your store has the $0.50 tubes, buy 2 @ $1
Use the $1/2 IP or the $1.10/2 IP (if your store doesn't give grief about overage) to get them free at checkouts and receive $1 in SavingStar for a profit of $1!

If you store has them for $0.99, you can make $0.12 with the $1.10 IP and $1 SavingStar

I went ahead and got 4 today since I had 2 $1/2 coupons with me :D

Endorse App - New offers added today

Have you downloaded the endorse app yet?  If not, you might want to sign up.  Every Thursday they reset the offers available to you.  Like ibotta,  it does seem that offers vary a little from person to person and probably will continue to vary more and more as you answer their weekly shopping questions.  For instance, yesterday I received in inquiry with 5 products and asking if I would be purchasing those items this week.  As you supply feedback to them, they will work to customize the cash back offers more to your shopping list.
According to the FAQ, they will accept receipts from almost ANY US retailer, including online.
The current offers are good through January 23rd.

HEB - The Yellow Coupon post - Jan 16th - 22nd

My favorite coupon is back! Time to stock up on vitamin supplements while HEB still allows us the stack B coupons with manufacturer coupons. (my post on the policy changes)
Combine with $2 Nature made insert for gummies 1/6 insert
or $2.25 IP for gummies or the $2 from the Texas Life January booklets

Jergen's $1.75 B coupon is back.  Combine with the $1 insert form last weekend or the $1 IP ($1.05 if you are a coupon club member) to get the lotion as low as .67.
I also noticed some Natural Glow on clearance!

Not really a yellow coupon deal, but wanted to highlight this offer.  I am having to buy a LOT more fruit these days (Hubs and I have gone Paleo) and apples are insanely priced right now.  I noticed HEB has these 3 lb bags of Fuji snack size apples for $2.48 sale price.  That makes them just .83/lb and I like the small ones because my kids can actually eat most of one without waste.
$10 ham coupons are back. While the hams are NOT currently on sale, if you see this coupon, you might want to grab a couple.  When they start clearancing out the hams, this coupon is usually still in date but disappears from the stores.  Grab them now to use on the clearance ham (YMMV whether your store allows you to use the coupon on clearance ham, but nothing excludes such use on the coupon and I was successful using them last year)
I posted this in my matchup posts but wanted to highlight apparently you need in the in store coupon to get the advertised sale price.  Luckily it is a B so you can still combine with insert coupon. If you can find the packages with the toy cash, you can turn this into a profit.  (also note the 8 pack $2 M yellow coupon is still in date so if you do that toy cash, each pack cost .37 based on my store's pricing)
Maybelline fans, a B coupon to combine with the 1/6 Red Plum insert coupons on any
or the $1 IP for BabyLips
$1 off Covergirl Lip Perfection Lipstick B coupon. Combine with $3/2 P&G insert coupon to get each for $2.47 when you buy 2.
$2 Covergirl Olay Simply Ageless line.  Look for clearance to get a decent deal when you combine with P&G insert
