Another Prevacid Rebate - Parade magazine

Don't throw out your Parade section of the paper until you snag the Prevacid rebate on the back page. This is another 50% off rebate offer. I am not sure if you can do both this one and the one that came out on Feb 14. The PO Box is the same, but the Dept. number is different, as are the required dates of purchase. I am going to attempt to call and inquire about this and if I find out an answer, I will let my readers know.
Combine this with the IP, or if you get the USA Weekender in your paper(Houston Chron does not) there are the following coupons in that : $6 for 14 or 28 ct and $10 for 42 ct.
Thanks to qrazyguy for the information about the USA Weekender.

Walgreens Great Clearance Deal!

My friend clued me in on a great clearance deal at Walgreens. It seems they are clearancing out the Dora and Barbie band-aids. Depending on the store, it seems they are $2.29 or $2.39. The first store I hit was GREAT as they had 10 boxes.
The reason this deal is so hot is given the current coupons that are available. From the Walgreens coloring book, there are coupons for $2 off these character band-aids. There is also a coupon out for $2 off any Johnson and Johnson product. I have these from a coupon booklet found at Randalls(these expire Feb 28).
So, combining these coupons provides up to $1.71 overage per box. I hit 2 stores and got the following

Trans #1:
10 Barbie/Dora bandaids $2.39 each - $2 coloring book -$2 J&J booklet q = -$16.10
1 4 pack Duck packaging tape $10
1 Post Honey Combs $1
1 Renpure Shampoo $6.99*
3 Houston Chronicles $6
-$2.50 RR
Tax: $1.05
Cost oop: $6.44

*The shampoo has a try me free offer that will get me $6.99 back.

Alice in Wonderland Sweepstakes

Ok, I have to admit I am doing this post as an excuse to have a picture of Johnny Depp on my blog(shhhhh Erin, I don't wanna hear your whining!)

Anyway, if you go here, you can enter via online.
You can also text any of these key words
"HATTER" "REDQUEEN" "WHITEQUEEN" "SIX" "PRIZE" "TEAPARTY" "RABBIT" "DRINKME" "DATE" "ADVENTURE" "DESTINY" "WONDERLAND" and "JOURNEY"
to 347639 for additional entries.
(according to the rules you can text 10 times per cell per calendar day-pacific time zone- and you can enter online 10 times a day per person/address)

Rules also state if you win the free trip to the premeire, you must take me (ok, it doesn't really say that, but a girl can dream :)

Free Yoplait Delights at Safeway

If you have been loading your cellfire coupons, you should have 1 or 2 $1 off coupons for Yoplait Delights yogurt. Pair those with this $1 IP and get them it cheap or possibly money maker if you have 2 loadables.

There are several other decent deals depending on the number of loadables you have from cellfire and shortcuts. Check out my shopping trip I made Tuesday that I blogged about here.

Disney Movie Rewards Sweepstakes

WE HEART GIVEAWAYS: Enter for a chance to win 1 of 5 High-Definition Experiences with a 40" HDTV and Blu-ray Player!
It's easy to enter the "I Heart DMR" Sweepstakes…just log into your DisneyMovieRewards account and follow the prompts to enter.
Then, check out the rewards catalog as they have lowered the points needed for some of the rewards. I have been hoarding(lol) my 2770 points hoping to earn enough to order the High School Musical bike and it doesn't look like they have lowered the points on that prize :(
How many points do you have and what is on your wishlist?
If you redeem for an award before March 8, they promise to add a suprise gift with your shipment.

Jennie O $5 Rebate form

There is a GREAT Jennie-O rebate , but PLEASE read the fine print.
I don't like posting these deals because most bloggers don't read the fine print and in turn their readers just rely on the information being passed on. I try to be honest with all my readers, as I want to save you money, not cause you more angst or time spent getting your money back.
Well this is a really GREAT money back offer, but I want to preface it with the following: If you read the FINE PRINT on the offer, it clearly states only the first 25,000 redemptions will be fulfilled. Well, I have been filling out rebates for 25+ years(yes since I was about 9 I helped my mom with rebates!) and this one sounds to me like a "while supplies last offer" If you read this on other blogs(at least the ones I have seen) they are making it seem like this form is only go to be made available to the first 25,000 people. That is NOT how I read this. This is a LONG dated form, so I suggest if you plan on doing this promo do it NOW!!!! Most will delay thinking they have plenty of time. If you do it quickly, you have a better shot of actually getting your money back , but be advised this is an iffy(in my opinion) form.

Alright, now that I have set up my disclaimer, here is the deal
You can get up to $5 back from ANY Jennie-O Turkey Store item purchased.
Go here and create an account
Then log in and go to coupons/offers and get that offer printed.
Then race the clock to get that offer mailed in!

Walgreens Free 8 x 10 Today Only

Today only, you can get a free 8 x 10 photo from Walgreens. If you want to redeem in store, go here and print the coupon.
I plan on doing it online using the code FREEPHOTO. I prefer doing these online for a few reasons.
1. All my pictures are on my computer at home and by the time I get home from work, I don't want to have to go back out
2. If you order online and select pick up in store and pay online (with free code) I don't have to pick it up today
3. I can choose the time I want to pick up and know that it will be ready unlike if I drop off and have to come back or wait.

Whatever way you decide, great way to get a free picture!

Prevacid Deal gets HOTTER at Kroger!!!!

If you have not purchased the Prevacid for the rebate I discussed in this blog post, then you are gonna love this deal.
I just logged into the Kroger site and noticed they have added a $6 loadable for 14 or 28 count and a $10 loadable for 42 count!!!!
If prices are still the same( and they should be) the deal will look like this:

Currently Kroger has the 14 ct at $11.99, the 28 ct at $19.99 and the 42 ct at $25.99
Here is the breakdown:

If you purchase the 14 ct
$11.99
-$6 loadable-$6 IP
= FREE but get back rebate for $5.99 A PROFIT of $5.99!!!!

If you purchase the 28 ct
$19.99
-$6 loadable

If you purchase the 42 ct
$25.99
-$10 loadable
-$10 IP= $5.99 oop but get back rebate for $12.99 A PROFIT of $7!!!!!!

The best deal is the 42 count unless you don't want any up front out of pocket(other than the cost of your stamp).
If you need the medicine do BOTH the 14 count and 42 count since you are not any more out of pocket, but you get more pills.
If you don't need the medicine you can still buy both in the same transaction and trade or donate it! (I might be up for trades!!!!!)

This offer is limited so don't delay!
Thanks Mercedes for the heads up on this freebie.

Cellfire will reload tommorrow Feb. 23

Well, another 2 weeks has gone by and that means Cellfire will be reloading tommorrow. If you have not done so, I suggest you load up the coupons today while they are still available. Then tommorrow, when they reset, you might find some duplicates. Don't forget to also head to Shortcuts as they reloaded coupons last week.

Even Veteran Couponers have VERY OFF DAYS!

Yesterday, I took a day off from work to get some rest and to get some shopping done that I just have not had time to do this week. Well, lets just say, I was ill prepared and things did not go as well as planned.
First off, let me tell you how seldom I shop at CVS. I had $56 in EXPIRED ECBS. Yes, you read that right $56 ALL EXPIRED!
I headed to a store I knew to take expireds up to a month and had to pull out my rainchecks just to shop. They were sold out of EVERYTHING on ecb this week.(hence the reason I stopped CVS shopping)
Well, I had a $2 ecb raincheck for Prevacid and sale price of $19.99 so I wanted to get that for a rebate. CVS was also nice enough to send me a $5/20 health care purchase coupon, so I threw in a $2 First Aid Kit to reach the threshold. Went ahead and used up my raincheck for the GE Light bulb too since I was there.

So I got
Prevacid $19.99 - $6 IP
Ge light $2.99 - $1 insert
Cvs first aid kit $2 - $5/20
-2 $6 ECBS
Paid $1.08 oop and got back 2 $2 ECBs and will mail in for $9.99 rebate
About a break even after you account for my stamp. Well after that things went downhill and FAST!

I went shopping to use up the rest of my $44 in ECBS and was just planning on buying stuff I need that I don't really have coupons to get free. Well, when I went back up to pay, the cashier informed me her manager said they DON'T take expireds and she wasn't supposed to do my first transaction YIKES!

So after that, I decided to hop over to Randalls and use a $4 catalina that was expiring THAT day. I needed milk anyway and picked up a few freebies. I didn't have all my coupons with me so I will have to go back, but I was able to get

free Campbell's soup with this IP
Got paid for Right Guard with IP from here or here and loading coupon from here
Free Halls from All You March issue coupon
and I miscalculated my overage and ended up spending $2.28 oop even after my $4 catalina, YIKES again.

While digging in my purse, I noticed the BIGGEST boo boo of the day I made. I noticed my Prevacid coupons only to realize I decided to tidy the house and drop off my papers at the recycle center and COMPLETELY FORGOT to cut the Prevacid rebates out FIRST. (In the words of Homer Simpson D'OH) :(

On my drive home (with my head hung in shame) I randomly stopped at a CVS and practically BEGGED if they take expireds. Much to my happiness the cashier went and asked the manager and she said YES!!!!!! Yay! I decided then and there, I didn't care if I rolled them or not, I was using ALL $44 before they changed their mind, lol.
The deals were not fantastic, but I did have a $5/15 purchase so I calculated that I needed to purchase $49 worth of stuff. Well, I miscalculated AGAIN(maybe I should have just gone home and hit the reset button, lol). I ended up spending $7.06 oop in additon to my ECBS and got back $14 in ECBS.
I did get some goodies we were going to need anyway, but didn't even bother with coupons for the mayonaise or the toilet paper.
I did find a great tearpad to get $2 off wyb a 20 oz Diet Coke and any Planters product
I found the Unsalted mixed nuts clearanced for $1.37 so combining with the $1.49 on the Diet Coke, just .86 for each set!
I was happy with that.

So why am I blogging about this crazy, sad, poorly planned trip? To show you that not all us Extreme Couponers get it right EVERYTIME either. We are human too and make blunders ourself, but who wants to read a blog filled with all our blunders, lol!

I hope to regroup and bring you better deals this coming week and help you save.(as well as to locate some more rebate forms, lol)
Feel free to leave me comments on some of your biggest blunders in the wonderful game of couponing! I would love to hear them.

The Children's Place 15% off

The Children's Place
If you are planning a trip to the The Children's Place, print this coupon first. I was excited when I went last week and found some clearance socks for kiddos. I also found a very cute fleece jacket that my girls have since been fighting over(guess I should have gotten two!)
I am going to a different mall today to get my free Auntie Anne's pretzel (between 10-3pm) and will see what they have on sale/clearance.

Giving back to a Great Cause

This is a guest post from Kim over at JustFrugalicious:

First, a warning: this is totally off of the subject of my blog. But, I felt that I needed to spread the word – and thought it might be a good way to get a reminder out to my readers and help a fabulous cause in the process.
Recently I found out that a mentor of mine has been diagnosed with Stage III Breast Cancer. Finding this out reminded me that none of us are invincible.
Kristen is participating in 3-Day For the Cure in August. Please take a peek at her fundraising page for her story. And, if you find you are able, please support her cause. She has set a high fundraising goal for herself ($10,000), and I am sure she would be grateful for whatever you could do to support the goal!
May your day be ‘just frugalicious’

Kroger run for fruit!

I am sorry this is not a fabulous post on how I got $500 worth of groceries for pennies, lol!
Also, I am really sorry that this post is gonna be a little off topic, if you are looking for deals, stop reading here because this post is just random! I went to Kroger today because we needed fruit for the kiddos lunches. I used a $4 oynso courtesy of Pillsbury and only spent .15 oop. Funny story: cashier saw my softsoap and said "I hope you don't plan on using the coupon for this softsoap since it is for the 8.5 oz size" I had to inform the cashier, I fully intended on using a coupon, but not to worry, mine was from All You magazine and it states for ANY size, lol.

Other than that , I have to admit I don't have anything exciting to post except for one thing you hopefully will not hear uddered from my mouth come next year!!!!! LMAO
Ok, all you poor, unfortunate souls that cursed your math teachers in high school and even in college. I am starting to understand your angst! You see, I am currently working on getting my certification to teach math to your poor, unsuspecting high schoolers and I have to admit(you will never hear me admit this again) some of this stuff is NEVER applicable in real life!!!! Sadly I am having to reteach myself this stuff since it has been YEARS since I have used it.......wow, why do we force some of this on high school students? Wow! What a nerd I was, I took Calculus as one of my electives and am having to reteach myself MOST of that year(sadly, I still have my notes-yes, I am that much of a NERD! gotta brag that I aced my Calculus final in high school and begged my teacher for the test so I could frame it, lmao!- I was really proud I didn't forget ANY "constant of irritation" as my calculus teacher renamed it!)

Anyway, sorry I don't have many deals to report, just have not done much shopping this week!

Olay Body Wash deal at Dollar General

If you have not done the Olay deal at Target I posted about here, you can still get a good deal at Dollar General. Target still has the razor gift card promo working, but the body washes are no longer triggering the $5 gift card, making your cost $5 more than what I blogged about.

ETA: One reader said the Olay Total Effects Body Wash is still triggering the gift card as of Tuesday. I can confirm the bonus size Olay Quench are NOT triggering the gift card from Target.

HCW members are reporting finding Olay Fusion body wash (only the Vitality variety) on unmarked clearance for $1.87. Using the $1 coupon from 2-14 RP, this is what your deal could look like:
3 x $1.87 = $5.61 - 3 X $1 coupons = $2.61 + your tax rate
Then you can mail in for $15 rebate for a profit of $12 (less tax)

Shortcuts has reset!

I still don't quite have the system of shortcuts down to determine how often they add coupons, but when I logged in this morning they had a TON of new coupons. Head on over and load your card up.
If you have not loaded all your cellfire, you can head over there and see if there are some duplicates to get some good deals at Safeway(Randalls).

VocalPoint - Free Full size bottle of Pantene

If you are a VocalPoint member, you might want to log into your account and see if you have a Pantene Fusion offer under the try and tell banner. I did, and so they are sending me a full size bottle of Pantene for FREE. If you are not a member, sign up here (sorry guys, this is a website only for women so if you want to be a member, convince your significant others or moms :P)
Thanks Mercedes for the reminder to check out accounts.

Prevacid for FREE!!!!

I was excited today to see this rebate form in the Houston Chronicle(page a16). The rebate is for 50% rebate back for any 14 ct, 28 ct or 42 ct. So how can you net this free?
Well, if you recall my post here, you can print $6 off coupon for 14 ct or 28 ct and a $10 off coupon for the 42 ct.
Kroger also has a loadable on their website for $4 off any size.

Currently Kroger has the 14 ct at $11.99, the 28 ct at $19.99 and the 42 ct at $25.99
Here is the breakdown:

If you purchase the 14 ct
$11.99
-$4 loadable
-$6 IP
= $1.99 oop but get back rebate for $5.99
A PROFIT of $4!!!!

If you purchase the 28 ct
$19.99
-$4 loadable
-$6 IP
= $9.99 oop but get back rebate for $9.99
FREE!

If you purchase the 42 ct
$25.99
-$4 loadable
-$10 IP
= $11.99 oop but get back rebate for $12.99
A PROFIT of $1!!!!!!

Now, if you use this medicine(like my husband), the best deal is most likely the 42 count since you will eventually have to buy this anyway. If not, the 14 count would be the best deal for you since you will profit. Then, you can always trade the medicine or donate it!

Did anyone elsewhere get this rebate in their paper?
ETA: It seems other regions of the US got an even better rebate! FREE instead of 50%! That would make for a HUGE moneymaker purchasing these with coupons at Kroger. (now for me to find some of those rebate forms.........and yes, thank you KKennedy, I got your form and am ready to go buy! :)

If you don't have a Kroger, I saw the Walgreens ad has a $5 off Walgreens coupon for the 42 count. They have it for $28.99 so if you choose to go there
$28.99
-$5 in ad coupon
-$10 IP = $13.99 oop but get back rebate for $14.49 FREE after stamp!!

Kroger Daytona run Feb 13, yummy Blue Bell

Saved some of my Daytona deals for Saturday run so I could get my Blue Bell Ice Cream! Kroger had a 1 day special for $2.99 Blue Bell with an additional $10 purchase(limit 1). I also had the $1 printable from the Blue Bell website and went to 2 stores doing 2 transactions at each.
Most these deals you had already seen, but the Greenworks cleaner and the Bic Soleil I have not posted about.
The Bic razors are on sale buy one get one free right now. Combine that with the bogo insert coupons from 1-10 SS and they are free
Greenworks cleaner was on closeout for $1.49 and gives back a .50 oynso catalina for each one you purchase. With the .50 insert coupons 1-17 SS doubled, they are free.

My total oop after catalinas spent and earned is $5.10 and I got my 4 1/2 gallons of ice cream YUMMY and just in time for my oldest's birthday!

Target deals - HUGE Moneymakers

I read about two really hot deals at Target and decided it was time to plan a trip. The first deal involves Gillette razors and Olay bodywash. Target has two gift card deals. One: Buy 3 Olay body wash, get a $5 gift card. Two: Buy 2 Gillette razors, get a $5 gift card. Well, there is also a really great new Olay rebate and some really good coupons to combine with these promotions to get PAID to buy the items. You can find a $15 Olay rebate here. You earn the $15 when you purchase 3 facial moisturizers, facial treatments, facial cleansers, hand and body lotions, body washes or 6+ bars of soap.
This is how I worked the deal:

3 Olay body washes $5.50 each - free insert wyb Venus razor 2-7 P&G= FREE
3 Venus razors $6.99 each -$2 insert 2-7 P&G= $14.97
1 Gillette fusion $6.99 - $4 insert 2-7 P&G= $2.99
1 GE Reveal bulb clearanced $1.77 - $1.50 Target q - $1 insert 1-3 SS= -.73
-.05 Target coupon(for bringing in my own bags)
Tax : .16
Cost oop: $17.34 but earned $15 in Target gift cards so $2.34 cost and I will mail in for the $15 rebate for a final profit of
$12.66!

The second deal I read about involves a LOT of coupons, but it is well worth it.
You will need to first go to coupons.com and print 3 Scrubbing bubbles coupons,
Bogo Scrubbing bubbles refills
$2/2 Scrubbing bubbles refills
$7 Scrubbing bubbles shower cleaner starter kit

Then, you need to see if you have the inserts from 11-15 SS. Inside those inserts were 2 Target coupons.
$5 gift card when you buy Scrubbing bubbles shower cleaner starter kit
$1.50/2 Scrubbing bubbles products

Here is the scenario I did
2 Scrubbing bubbles starter kits $12.99 each
4 Scrubbing bubbles refills $4.14 each
$42.54
- $4.14 x 2 for bogo IP on refills
- $2/2 Ip for refills
-$7 x 2 IP for the Scrubbing bubble starter kit
-$1.50 x 3 Target coupon for Scrubbing bubbles products
= $13.76

-$5 x 2 Target coupon for Scrubbing bubbles insert for gift card

6 Quaker oatmeals $1.02 - $1 IP = .12
1 Ge Reveal bulb $1.77 - $1.50 Target Ip - $1 insert 1-3SS = -.73
-.10 Target bag credit
Tax: .94
Cost oop: $13.99 but earned $10 in gift cards
Now, if you have not done the SC Johnson rebate, you can mail in for $5 and you will have gotten all this for FREE!

Coupons.com HOT coupons to print

Right now coupons.com has a HOT $2/2 coupon for Right Guard deodorant. There are rumors that Safeway (Randalls, Tom Thumb) have these on sale for $1 making 2 free with this coupon.

While you are at coupons.com printing that coupon, you may also want to print the following:

$2/2 Kotex pads - great to use today at Walgreens
$1.50/2 Kotex tampons - great to use today at Walgreens
$2 Theraflu - great to use today at Walgreens

$4 Prevacid 24hr - higher value than the inserts get

$1.50/2 Kelloggs cereal (selected varieties - multiple coupons to choose from)
$2/2 Kelloggs cereal (select varieties listed)
A catalina deal on Kelloggs cereal just started at Safeway and Kroger. These coupons are bound to be hot for this deal I read about here

The Childrens Place - 15% off coupon

I am going to attempt to make it to the outlet mall this weekend and check out the GREAT sale they are having in store at The Children's Place. Campbell's Labels for Education - link your shopper cards

I got a nice suprise email in my inbox today. I earned 12 Campbell's Labels for Education for my kids school just for purchasing my Goldfish. If you recall, the Goldfish are part of the mega sale at Kroger. After mega sale they were just .88 and I found(and shared) the wonderful .75 IP from their site, making them just .13 a bag.
Well, I didn't even remember that about a year ago I signed up for the elabelsforeducation program. This is yet another program that Kroger has partnered up with to provide for schools simply by using your shoppers card. Once signed up, you don't have to do ANYTHING! The labels are put in automatically to your school just for purchasing the participating items. How easy is that? AND it is FREE, so you have nothing to lose but about 5 minutes of your time.

Just go here and sign up and you will be on your way to helping your local school. If you don't have a child in a participating school, you could always just select one near your neighborhood to help!
You will definitely want to sign up TODAY. Campbell's soups are on the list of participating products and some of those are part of the Daytona sale that starts tommorrow. I hope to have the information and matchups for the Daytona deal posted for you later today. Until then, you can see what matchups I have completed so far at HCW.

HOT Prevacid 24 hour Printable!!!!!

I LOVE that Prevacid is FINALLY an OTC drug. My husband is on this stuff for LIFE and it was getting expensive since more and more insurance was not covering it. Thanks to one of my WONDERFUL readers, here is a link to a coupon for $6 off any 14 or 28 count.

(If you prefer, there is also a $10 off coupon for the 42 count only on the same link- I am not sure you can print both-I think you just get to pick one so I didn't take my chances)
ETA: Two readers have confirmed they could print BOTH! YAY

Anyway, if you choose to print the $6, go to the Kroger website and load the $4 off any size as well. If I remember looking at the right size yesterday, they have the 14 count for $11.99 so $1.99 after loadable and IP. That is ONLY .14 a pill. For anyone that takes this, you KNOW that is a GREAT price!

For those without Kroger, I believe there is an in-ad coupon in the Walgreens flyer as well.

Thanks reader Mariah for the link to these coupons.

Save A Lot Home Mailer $15 Coupon Booklet of P&G brands

Save A Lot stores have a booklet of coupons you can request be mailed to you. Not sure how close you have to live to a store, but according to their store finder, my mom lives 85 miles from a store and they accepted her request.
To request the coupon booklet, just go here and fill out the form.

The coupons you should receive are as follows:
$.75 Duracell batteries
$.75 Crest toothpaste
$.50 Old Spice antiperspirant or deodorant
$.50 Secret
$1 Tampax
$.75 Always Ultra Thin
$1.25 Gain laundry detergent
$.75 Tide to Go
$.75 Downy fabric softener
$1/2 Pringles
$1 Charmin UltraSoft 9 roll or larger
$.50 Charmin Basic 4 roll or larger
$2 Luvs jumbo pack

(I'm not sure if the list is missing a coupon since that only adds up to $12.5o and they advertise it as a $15 booklet???)

While you are at their site, you might also want to check out the printable coupons they have available. Many of them appear to be for in-house brands, but if you scroll through them, you can find some for Healthy Choice frozen meals(there is a catalina deal coming up at Randalls, so these would be good to print), Fleischmanns, Hunts pasta sauce, Orville Redenbacher Smart Pop, Country Crock, $1/3 Knorr pasta sides and $1.50 off Bertolli frozen meal(would go great combined with $2 off Randalls booklet coupon.

Thanks to jdrodgers1013 at SD for the link and list of coupons.

Cellfire- Last day to load for this cycle- Resets 2-9

Just a friendly reminder, Cellfire will be resetting tommorrow(I can't wait!). If you have not done so, load up your cards so you don't miss out on some deals. There are several great coupons that go well with current sales. Make sure you load up all the Pillsbury refrigerated coupons since the catalina promotion is going until 2/21 at both Kroger and Safeway. (Buy 4 get $2, buy 5 get $3, buy 6 get $4).
If you have not been to Safeway yet and you have the Fiber One yogurt coupon, get over there before Wednesday morning. The Fiber One yogurt is on sale for $2 so will be free with loadable and insert or IP.
While you are loading your card, head over to Kroger site. They have added a Prevacid 24 hour $4 off any size loadable. I know I am excited about that one!
If you have not been to shortcuts lately, you might want to see if they added anything since the last time you logged in.

Stayed tuned for some GREAT matchups for the Daytona sale Kroger will be starting on Wednesday for Texas and LA folks!

Also, don't forget my $50 SAFEWAY gift card giveaway. If you have not entered, better hurry!
