Kroger Mega Sale Starts Tommorrow

Yay! Another mega sale at Kroger.

For those of you unfamiliar with a mega sale, here is some vital information to know. You must buy 10 participating items in one transaction, and $5 will come off at the end of your transaction when the cashier hits the total button. There are sometimes limits, but I believe I heard this one is unlimited, so you will get 1 $5 off for EACH 10 participating items you purchase.

You can mix and match(you don't have to buy 10 of one item, for example chili)

One suggestion: If you are purchasing other NON-mega items in your transaction, I would suggest getting a full size shopping cart and putting one of the hand carts in there. In that hand cart, put just the mega items so you can quickly take a count before going to the register. This will save you a few headaches at the registers.

Now, to highlight some of the goodies I see:
*Prices listed are ad prices. Mega deal will essentially take .50 off per item in addition to whatever coupons you use

Randalls Make it Tonight Booklet

This is what the booklet looks like that has the $1/2 Randalls Pillsbury coupons. There are several other really good coupons in the booklet. I found this at the bakery and deli counter at my store.

Randalls Money Maker on Pillsbury refrigerated products

Yesterday a wonderful catalina promotion started at Randalls. Purchase 4 Pillsbury refrigerated products in one transaction get $2 oynso catalina(on your next shopping order), purchase 5, get $3 or purchase 6, get $4 catalina. Well, luckily I had been saving up my loadables from Cellfire and Shortcuts and was able to score BIG on this deal! I also found these coupon booklets at Randalls with $1/2 Pillsbury STORE coupons inside.(you do have to spend $20 BEFORE coupons to use these)

None of the items were sale price, so you don't need to rush out today to score them. Also, the store I went to at lunch did not have the little cinnamon rolls that are cheaper, so you might fair better than I, depending on your coupons.

Please recall my store will double 1 like coupon up to .50 and triple 1 like coupon up to .39

Here is my breakdown:

2 Natures Own bread $2.99 bogo sale = $2.99
2 PureVia $1.99 each - $2 insert(2nd coupon beeped and was adjusted to $1.99) = -.01
1 Annies mac and cheese .99 - .50 tearpad(I found this at Randalls, yay!) = -.01

2 Pillsbury pizza crust $2.59 each - $1/2 cellfire - 2 .40/2 shortcuts - $1/2 shortcuts - 2 .35 insert 1-24SS - $1/2 store coupon = -.02

Earned $4 oynso for buying the 6 Pillsbury

*There is a .50/2 crescent roll printable here

Clever Kids Printables

I was looking at my email and I saw this site. You can download sheets for your child to color and work on their letters and numbers. Since I have a 3 year old that is working on her handwriting right now, I thought these were really cute. If you want these downloads, just go here.

Cellfire resets on Tuesday January 26

Cellfire will be resetting their coupons on Tuesday. If you have not loaded your coupons yet, now is the time to head over there and get the rest of them loaded onto either your Randalls or Kroger shopper card. Please keep in mind, you can only load each coupon to one card at a time.

Normally, I load all them to Randalls since they will take multiples off, but there is going to be a MEGA sale at Kroger starting Wednesday, so some of your loadables might be better to load to your Kroger card instead.
Ones I recommend for Kroger:
.50 Chex Mix coupon, combining with .50 IP will make it free at Kroger starting Wednesday
.40 Fiber One chewy bars, combine with .40 IP makes it .99 after Mega sale
.40 Nature Valley granola bars, combine with .40 IP makes it .99 after Mega sale
$1 Purina dry cat food
$1 Tidy cat litter, will make it .49 for mega sale

Make sure you load ALL your Pillsbury coupons, I would suggest to your Randalls card.
A catalina deal starts tommorrow at both Randalls and Kroger(it will be better to do FIRST at Randalls since multiple loadables come off)
Buy 4 get $2, Buy 5 get $3, buy $6 get $4 oynso (pretty much the refrigerated line of Pillsbury products)

Don't forget to check out Shortcuts too!
I am currently working the matchups for Kroger and when completed will list here on my blog, but for now, check what I have done so far on HCW.

Kroger run 1-23

WOW! I have not been spending much time at Kroger lately so tried to get a few deals in since I was near a very coupon friendly store today.
I did have to go to the service desk for a couple items that were marked wrong, I will note these at the end of the post.
Please recall my Kroger stores will double 3 like coupons up to .50 and triple 3 like coupons up to .39 in one transaction.

3 G2 $1 each - .50 insert 1-10RP= FREE
3 Fuze $1 each - .50 tearpad(found at CVS) = FREE
10 Sani-hands hand sanitizers $1 each - $1 insert 4-19SS= FREE
3 Halls cough drops $1 each -.50 IP = FREE
1 Starkist pouch $1 - .50 IP = FREE
1 Kroger Allergy $2.49 - $2.50 catalina = FREE
2 Kroger Nitetime cough medicine $3.49 bogo - $2.50 catalina = .99
3 Tony's pizza(not pictured) $1 - .50 insert 12-13 SS= FREE
1 Banana(not pictured) .16
4 Coffee-mate creamers* $1 each - 2 $1.50/2 IP = $1
3 Gum 2 pack toothbrushes $3.19* - $1 insert 11-15 RP(got these in trade)= $6.57
Cost oop: $8.97

There was also a demo for Weight Watchers so I got the coupons from that. The guy was very friendly and was encouraging everyone to take LOTS of coupons, lol.

*I purchased 2 Pumpkin Spice coffeemate that were marked 2/$1 but they rang up $1 each.
The gum 2 packs were marked $1 but rang up $3.19 each. I went to customer service and the gum toothbrush tag was out of date, but they gave me the price difference back since it was still tagged. For the coffeemate, they gave me the scan right guarantee for the price disprency so I got $1.50 back(one for free and the other at the price difference)
so I got back an $8.48 credit
So cost oop: $0.49

$1 Coffee-Mate Printable - FREE Holiday Flavors at Kroger

Coffee-mate has a promotion right now where you can send some encouraging words to a candidate in their Dress for Success Campaign. Dress for Success donates money for interview clothing for women trying to enter(or re-enter) the workforce. You can send words of encouragement to these women and in turn, you will be allowed to print a $1 coupon for a 15 oz + of Coffeemate. Right now, several Kroger stores have the holiday flavors(Gingerbread, Pumkin spice, etc) on clearance for $1, making them FREE with this coupon.
Just go to this link, and click the "send a cup of confidence" link at the top of the screen. From there, just fill out your information and send some words of encouragement and you will be given your link for the $1 coupon.

Thank you to whosaidnothinginlifeisfree.

-$5 oynso catalina from prior order
Tax: .28
Cost oop: $1.46
*I could not find these 2 coupons on the receipt but I still cannot get the math to balance. I had a sick kiddo with me that was distracting so I might have missed something else. We were just waiting on her presciption to get filled otherwise I would have paid more attention.
I earned a $5 for purchasing 5 participating Kraft and $3.50 for purchasing 5 BC fruit snacks in one order
so overall cost 6.46 - 8.50 cat's earned = $2.04 profit

Walgreens Deal on Childrens Benadryl!

This requires a bit of work and for you to have some good coupons ahead of time, but I needed Benadryl for my sick kid and so I was happy to find this deal!
Pictured(on the far left) is a coupon booklet* I found at Safeway(Randalls on the shampoo aisle) about a week ago. It is filled with manufacturer coupons and one is for $4/2 Benadryl products.
I also still have the Walgreens Activity book coupons for $1 off Childrens Benadryl 4 oz or 18 pack tablets(takes $1 off each-these are from the Walgreens coloring books).

Well, this week Children's Benadryl is on sale for $5 each and you earn a $3 RR wyb 2.
Here is what I did:
2 Childrens Benadryl $10 - $4/2 booklet - $2 activity booklet = $4
3 candy necklaces 3/$1(fillers to use my RR) = $1
-2 $1 RR
-1 $3 RR
Cost oop: $0 and earned $3 RR back
Total cost $2 for my two MUCH needed Benadryl (your cost could be $1 for the two if you don't need fillers or need cheaper ones)

*There are some really good manufacturer coupons in this booklet besides the Benadryl one(also good on Tylenol etc), including $1 off ANY Huggies wipes, and several Dove product coupons.

Walgreens Activity Book/Coloring Book with coupons

I have gotten several questions on where to find this booklet. I can't help much with the where but to tell you where I found mine in the stores I shop:
* with the coloring books
* with the Holiday merchandise on the flex aisle
* in the pharmacy in a cardboard display
* on the risers not marked

I have added the picture so you know what you are looking for. From this point forward, I will reference this post when refering to this coupon booklet so you will have a visual for what to look for.

Betty Crocker $10 Home mailer!

Sorry for the terrible graphic, I am home with a very sick kiddo and am touch and go on the computer. Go here and see if you are elgible for the new Betty Crocker enewsletters. If you are, they will mail you a booklet with $10 worth of coupons! Home mailers are most often better than the values found in the paper or as printables, so check if you can get in on this offer while supplies last.
Thanks to Freebies4mom for the link.

Kroger and Box Tops for Education Join Forces- Earn 5 free btfe!

As a Kroger shopper and a box top coordinator, I am excited to bring you this news! I just got an email letting me know Kroger and BTFE have teamed up for clip free savings for your school. If you go here and sign up your Kroger card, you will earn 5 bonus box tops! This site is different than the btfe site so you will need to sign up here and have your Kroger card number handy.
After the quick registration, I was told I earned 5 box tops for my school. After signing up, you may want to click the alarm clock to wake up to bonus box tops offer. Here, they have offers you can load to your Kroger card to earn extra box tops for education for your school simply purchasing the required products at Kroger with your Kroger Plus card! Super easy and a great way to earn FREE money for your local school.
If you don't have kids or your kids are no longer in a school that collects box tops, you can still sign up as I am sure any local school would love the help. When you sign up, it will ask for your zip code and offer a pull down for the schools that are signed up for the box top program in your area. Feel free to sign up under one, it won't cost you anything but 5 minutes of your time.
The 3 promotions I noticed currently available is 3-5 bonus box tops for purchasing 3-5 participating GM cereals, 3-5 Yoplait kids products or 3-5 Pillsbury products.
This appears to be good for the family of Kroger stores(Dillons, Frys, King Soopers etc).

Please excuse the mess!

I am working on the blog in my spare time, so if you see weird things, please ignore. I am working on my background and my button and things might get shuffled around a bit during the transition.
Don't worry, I will still blog about the deals too, but I was sick a bit last week and have done limited shopping. From what I have seen, the deals are pretty slim this week anyway, but I am preparing some matchups for Randalls with loadables.
Shortcuts reset and I see LOTS of duplicates and am planning a run to Randalls on Wednesday!

Quaker $1 printable on Red Plum

These should still be on sale at Kroger for $1.88. Print more $1 coupons to go with the sale. My oldest finally got hooked on oatmeal and has been eating it daily!
The print at RedPlum is no longer available(sorry I just got word from RedPlum that this offer is not available, but you can still print directly from the Quaker site if you have not maxed out that offer.
While you are at RedPlum, you might want the print the $2 Theraflu for the Walgreens Theraflu/Lipton deal. The $1 off Carefree product(makes the small one free at Dollar General) and the .75 No Yolk noodles(these are $1.50 at Randalls and there is a .50 loadable at Upromise)

Edit: It appears there are issues with this Oatmeal coupon not printing. I am not able to print at work, so I was not aware of the issue. I have contacted RedPlum and I received a response that they are researching this currently and hope to have it fixed soon. I will keep you guys posted.

Kroger deal January 11

My kiddo came home with a note that she needed to bring Celery to school for a project. I decided to pick it up at Kroger because I wanted to test a deal I read about and one I thought up on my own. Well, I am happy to report BOTH deals worked!

Please recall my Kroger store doubles 3 like coupons up to .50 and triples 3 like coupons up to .39.

Here is my breakdown:

3 Healthy Choice entrees(one not pictured because it was lunch) @ $1.85

2 Healthy Choice Entrees @ $1.93

-$5/5 loadable - $5/5 IP (beeps)= -$.59

3 Smuckers grape squeezable $2.09 each - $2.50/3 loadable - .35 tearpad = $0.62

3 Oikos yogurt $1 each - $1 insert 1-3 SS = FREE

1 Celery $1.49 (not pictured, dropped off at the school)

Tax: -.41

Cost oop: $1.11

Walgreens deal- Johnson Rebate

There is a Johnson & Johnson rebate online here or in the inserts from this Sunday.

The rebate requires you to purchase $30 WORTH of products from 2 or more of the following brands between Jan 10 and Feb 5: Ambi, Aveeno, Clean and Clear, Purpose, Lubriderm and RoC. Purchase excludes tax, trial sizes and cleansing bars.

Right now Walgreens has several of these brands on sale buy 1 get 1 50% off.(Aveeno, Lubriderm and Clean and Clear)

Please note, my view of this rebate is different than what you will see on other blogs, you will have to decide your comfort level and how you want to do this rebate. I will explain* what I mean in more detail after my breakdown of what I did:

4 Lubriderm 6 oz $3.99 each = $15.96
2 Aveeno skin cleansers $7.29 each = $14.58
1 Deerfield raisins $1
1 Heinz Vinegar $2.19

Total: 33.73 ($30.54 for rebate)

-$8 - 4 $2 IP or $2 insert 1-10 SS for Lubriderm
-$4 - $1 Diabetes booklet coupon for Lubriderm(just need one to take off $4)
-$4 for 50% Lubriderm sale
-$4 - 2 $2 IP or $2 insert 1-10 SS for Aveeno
-$3.65 for 50% Aveeno sale
-$10 in RR
Total cost oop: .08 and will qualify for $1o MIR here or in 1-10 SS insert for J&J

*I have been helping my mother with rebates since I was about 7 years old. I have been doing my own rebates for over 10 years now and in my experience, when a rebate says you have to purchase X to get Y(sorry, math major brain coming out) then as long as you purchase X, you will get Y.
To speak in layman terms on this rebate. Rebate states to purchase $30 WORTH of J&J brand products and you must buy at least 2 types.
My take on this: Since the 50% sale at Walgreens rings up on the receipt like a coupon, I feel I only NEED to purchase $30 worth of products as ring up price. My scenario, I purchased $30.54 worth of products for this rebate and the cost of THOSE items was $6.89. I want to warn newer coupons, this might not work seamlessly and I might have to make a call or two to get my rebate, but I like to read the FINE print of rebates and I think I have met the requirements of this rebate.

Walgreens- Diabetes and You Booklet

I keep getting asked the following questions about this booklet:

What does it look like?
See picture above

Where can you find it?
Some stores have it in the pharmacy, this one I found up front at my store(near where they keep the newspapers)
Why do I care about this booklet?
There is a $1 Lubriderm coupon in the booklet that when combined with the $2 insert from Sunday and the b1 g1 50% sale makes the 6 oz Lubriderm free
Hopefully this post helps answer your questions on this booklet with coupons.

Cellfire will reload tommorrow Jan. 12

If you still have coupons you have not loaded on Cellfire, it will be resetting tommorrow. I just went there today and loaded everything I still had remaining on to my Randalls card in hopes of having duplicates tommorrow morning.

While you are loading, Shortcuts has added coupons as well(only good at Kroger though).
You will want to LOAD these new shortcuts coupons because they are Conagra food coupons. Yearly Kroger comes out with a promo for the Daytona 500 and it typically includes many of the Conagra brand foods. In the next couple weeks, we should start seeing deals that will match up to these Shortcuts coupons.

Prescription Coupon in Today's Houston Chronicle

Don't send your Sunday paper to the curb without taking section A first. There is a coupon for a $25 gift card at Kroger with any transferred prescription. I also hear reports there is a coupon for Randalls as well in a Randalls supplement(my paper does not have a Randalls supplement) and there is a $10 in the Target ad.
I typically use these at CVS on my prescriptions as the store near my office will take all competitor coupons on my NEW prescriptions. You might want to ask your local stores if they have the same policy.
Thank you Maya for alerting me to actually LOOK at the paper, lol.

Free Ticket to see The Squeakquel- with Purchase

My daughter has already seen the Squeakquel and she loved it! I didn't get a chance to go because our little one just won't sit through movies quite yet, so I might just have to take my oldest again so I can see it.

If you are planning on seeing the movie, you may want to check out Amazon first. Right now, they have a deal to score a free movie ticket when you purchase 1 of 25 dvds or Blu-rays(movie ticket value up to $7.50 with dvd purchase or $10 with Blu-Ray purchase).
Thank you pooh5497 for the headsup!

New Loadable Site for Randalls

It just keeps getting better and better for Safeway shoppers (Tom Thumb and Randalls for my TX readers). Safeway has teamed up with coupons.com to provide loadable coupons now too. I loaded some coupons I thought would have potential and printed those same coupons on a separate computer(I am not sure you can load and print from the same computer as I have not tried, but it might be possible- I loaded coupons from work-since I can't print - and printed from home)

Anyway, go to this link to load some coupons to your Randalls(Safeway) card

and when you are done, try this link to print the coupons!

I found some GREAT deals (in my next post) on the Aveeno and the Betty Crocker fruit snacks. I have not confirmed yet if any of the other coupons would make a good deal. I do know the 100 Calorie packs are on sale for $2 and my Randalls does not sell the 36 count Sudafed.

Randalls - More good FREEBIES!

I heard about a catalina deal at Randalls on Betty Crocker fruit snacks(confirmed when I got it today and the informational catalina as well- good until 1-24) Well, since I also had 5 loadables, I decided to score some fruit snacks! I also took advantage of the new loadable site that was just made available for Randalls and they paid me to purchase some Aveeno Anti-Itch cream(this will come in handy come mosquito season- and it is PINK so my girls LOVE it)

Please remember my Randalls will double one like coupon up to .50 and triple one like coupon up to .39.

Here is my breakdown:

2 Betty Crocker fruit roll ups snacks $2 each - 2 .50/2 cellfire - .50/2 IP = $2
1 Betty Crocker shaped snacks $2 each - 2 .40 cellfire - .40 IP = .40
-$1.50/2 loadable*
1 Aveeno Anti-Itch $3.19 - $2 loadable - $2 IP = -.81
Cost oop: .09

Earned $1.50 catalina for purchasing 3 BC fruit snacks

*The $1.50/2 loadable for the fruit snacks actually showed up in the ring up price not the end of the receipt. One rang up $2, the other .50 on the receipt.

Also, to maximize and confirm all loadables came off for the snacks I had to purchase 2 from the fruit by the foot, stickerz etc line(cellfire has the listed ones) and one "shapes" item.

The second transaction I did on my mom's card to use up some of her loadables. As a reminder and for the new readers, I shop the deals for 4 households(putting my math degree to good use, lol).

Here is the breakdown on this transaction:

1 Cinnamon toast crunch $2.49 - .55 shortcuts - $1 IP = 0.94

1 Trix $2.49 - 2 .55 cellfire - .55 IP = 0.84

1 Cheerios $2.49 - 2 .55 cellfire - .55 IP = 0.84

-$3 wyb 3 cereal(automatic)

3 Nature Valley Nut Clusters $2.50 each - $1 shortcuts - 1 .50 insert 1-3 GM - 2 $1 IP = $3.50

1 Nature Valley granola bars $2.50 - .40 cellfire - .40 IP = 1.30

-4 in ad coupon for 4 Nature Valley products

1 Betty Crocker pototoes $1.69 - 2 .40 cellfire - .40 shortcuts -.40 IP = -0.31

1 Yakisoba $1 - .50 insert = FREE

4 Glade candles $3.49 each - $3 peelie - 3 $2 Parade = $4.96

-$2.50 catalina from NV deal I did yesterday

-$1.50 earned from Trans #1

Tax: .06

Cost oop: $1.13

Earned $2.50 for purchasing 4 Nature Valley products and $5 for purchasing 4 Glade Fragrance Collection items

Total cost for the day: .09 oop - $1.50 cat + 2.50 cat spent + 1.50 cat spent + 1.13 oop - $2.50 cat - $5 cat = $3.78 profit

Randalls run to get my cheap/free Cheerios

I wanted to go to Randalls to get some Cheerios as they have a deal right now that if you purchase 3, they are just $1.49 a box(for Cheerios and a select few other GM cereals). Well, I had loadables for Cheerios, Trix and Cinnamon Toast Crunch so thought I would get one of each to deflate the cost of my other items, but they were out of Cinnamon Toast Crunch. I was happy to get two boxes of Cheerios anyway.

Here is my breakdown:

2 Cheerios $2.49 each -2 .55 cellfire - 2 $1 IP or IP
1 Trix $2.49 - 2 .55 cellfire - $1 IP - $3 wyb 3 = -0.73
3 Nature Valley Nut Clusters $2.50 each - 3 $1 IP
1 Nature Valley granola bars $2.50 - 2 .40 cellfire - .40 IP - $4 in ad coupon* = $1.40
1 MOM trial size $2.49 - FREE with card = FREE
2 International Delight creamer .99 each - Frees from facebook
1 John Frieda Root Awakening $5.49 - 2 $2 cellfire - $2 IP = -0.51
2.4 lbs bananas 1.18
1 18 count eggs $1.89 - .91 in ad coupon* = 0.98
1 gallon milk 1.99 - $1 in ad coupon* = .99
Tax: .19
Cost oop: $3.50

Earned $2.50 oynso catalina for purchasing 4 Nature Valley Granola Bars or Nut Clusters.

So total cost today .98

*I forgot to bring my Sunday ad that had the Super coupons for the eggs, milk, and Nature Valley and the store didn't have any like they normally do. I went to service desk when I arrived in inquire about it and the clerk and store manager both told me they didn't know what happened to all the copies, but if I had the upc code from the coupons I could use that at checkouts, so that is what I did for the .98 eggs, .99 milk and 4/$6 Nature Valley.

Lucky for me I have GREAT coupon friends that take my calls, THANKS COURTNEY for the coupon codes!!!!!!

Free Veggies at Kroger

I really have not been shopping Kroger much but when I heard I could possibly get FREE veggies, I had to make time in my schedule to stop in and check it out!
It seems TRUE we can get FREE veggies right now at Kroger!

Libby's canned Corn or Green Beans are on sale for 2/$1

There is a $1 printable found here that will make them free. You should be able to print 2 of these per computer!

Other deals I didn't get a chance to take advantage of due to short prep time(have a sick kiddo AGAIN!)

Progresso soup on sale for $1.25 each. If you have .50/2 cellfire or shortcuts, combine with .25 insert or .50/2 insert

This will make them as cheap as .25-.50 each depending on your loadables and the variety you buy

If you have any of the no longer available $1.10 High Fiber IPs, potential small money maker

If you have any of the Betty Crocker potatoes loadables for .40 from cellfire or shortcuts you can combine that with printable here for free pouch of potatoes

Thanks to Courtney for the info on the Libby's printable!

Target- Last minute good Price Matchup

I am sorry readers that is was a local deal and I found out about it very last minute (Thanks Maya!)
A local grocery store (Food Town) had Tyson chicken in the box on sale for .99 a box(no limit). Unfortunately, the store closest to me only takes 2 like coupons, so it was not worth it to me to stop there. The great thing is I am surrounded by wonderful coupon friends that remind me or tell me about deals I overlook and remind me about price matching(another area I tend to overlook)
So, today I got these 12 boxes of chicken wings and Breast tenderloins for .44 a box.
Price match at Target for .99 each - .55 insert from 10-11 SS.
Total cost $5.28!

Thanks Again Maya for telling me about this deal.

CVS Run Jan 3

I am trying to get back into the CVS game so I don't know all the rules of CVS(since they are notorious for changing them regularly). I had a $5/30 so I needed a store that had several deals and I found one. I found out this store does not adjust ECB's down, so I had to throw in a clearance filler that didn't actually ring in correctly.
Here is my scenario:
2 Oust Surface and Air $3.99 each - bogo insert 1-3 = $3.99
2 SoyJoy 6 packs $6 each = $12
4 Nivea Lip care $2.99 each - 2 bogo insert 1-3 = $5.98
1 Halloween gummies .50 -.40 store coupon(cashier adjusted down 80% but it was supposed to be 90% clearance) = .10
-$5/30
-$17 in ECBS
Cost oop : $0.07

Earned : $6 for Oust($3 for each Oust, Limit 6), $12 for Soy Joy($6 for each Soy Joy, Limit 6), and $5 for Nivea(purchase $10 earn $5, Limit 1)
Profit of $5.93

If you are making a trip this week, you may also want to try to get one of these deals:
*Don't forget to ask for a raincheck if your store is sold out. You can get a raincheck for ECB deals!
Ge Energy Smart bulbs $1.99 - $1 insert = .99
Earn $1 ECB (Limit 1)

Walgreens run Jan 3

Stopped at Walgreens today to get the free Electrosol and what I thought would be free Stayfree and Reach toothbrushes(they were not). Here is my scenario:
2 Stayfree $6.29 each - bogo insert 1-3 - $6 in ad coupon = .29
2 Reach toothbrushes $4.19 each - bogo insert 1-3 - $4 in ad coupon = .38
1 Electrosol $3.49 - $2.50 insert 1-3 = .99
2 Neosporin lip $8 - 2 $3 IP (IE) or (Firefox)= $2
1 Lipton tea $3.59 (there are .50 insert 11-15 RP but I didn't have any with me)
1 Theraflu sugar free $3.99 - $2 IP - $2 diabetes booklet coupon = -.01
2 Deerfield Park Raisins $2
-$8 in RR
Cost oop: $1.05

Earned $4 for the purchase of the Lipton and Theraflu, $3 for the Neosporin and $1 for the Electrosol
Total cost of $1.05

Please also look at this post for the current weekly deals I think are worth noting.

Upromise members: LOTS of new coupons

Upromise has reset their ecoupons and there are LOTS of good ones, especially if you need baby items.

For those that don't know, Upromise is a college savings program, but if you don't have kiddos, you can use the money to pay down your own student loans or even cash out quarterly for the savings! Even though they call them ecoupons, they are slightly different than other ecoupons.

You still need to load them prior to your shopping trip, but you will not see the savings on your receipt, they will instead be added to your Upromise account at a later date. Kroger Closeout- Snuggle

I received a reader email today, thanks to Pkowis!
Apparantly Pkowis stumbled upon Snuggle at closeout at her Kroger for $2.57.
The varieties that seemed to be included were Almond Creme and Jojoba Creme ( I am assuming these are the liquid versions)
We have $2 coupons from 12-06 RP that would make these just .57 each.

Special News Announcement to Houston READERS

Sad news today!

Thank you readers for your emails and sadly I found this out myself just after noon today.

The 99c only store and the Houston Chronicle right now cannot come to an agreement on pricing
From rumors:
99c only would still like to sell the Sunday Houston Chronicle for $1 but the Houston Chronicle wants them to sell it for $2.
If/when they can come to an agreement, we will have cheap papers again, until then it looks like the $2 is going to be the new reality.

Note: I did go to CVS today and the Saturday early edition rang in at $1.75. Not sure if this is typical, or will remain, but as of today, the Saturday early edition(with ALL Sunday coupon inserts) was $1.75 at CVS.

Local readers: Please feel free to post in comments where you are able to get the Saturday early edition or Sunday paper cheaper than $2!

*Please read the comments section. Reports are 45/610 area seems to still have $1 papers at 99c only store. (thanks gradstudentwife)

All 3 coupons expire 2-28-09
